We have good knowledge of Chinese markets and local taxation and accounting knowledge in Australia. At the same time, we also offer highly competent Mandarin-Chinese-speaking business advisors to our business clients.
As part of the development of our firm, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated accountant to join our firm.
The successful applicant will be required to have:
• Master Degree qualification in accounting, business, or commerce
• Strong written and oral communication skills, bilingual speaker Preferred (Speaking Chinese is an advantage)
• Intermediate level of Xero and MYOB (2+ years)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, i.e., excel, word.
• Attention to detail.
• Being friendly and cooperative, a team-focused attitude
• Minimum 3 years full-time or equivalent part-time highly relevant work experience in Australia
The main duties of the role will be
• Preparation of Financial Statements and income tax returns for:
o Companies
o Trusts
o Partnerships
o Individuals / sole trader
o Governing and statutory bodies
• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office
• Ad hoc administration, including ASIC maintenance and corporate issues.
• Compiling financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, as well as regulatory bodies.
• Carrying out financial inquiries, creating reports and offering guidance on matters such as business acquisitions, mergers, capital funding, potential fraud and taxation.
• Analyzing operating expenses and an organization's revenue and spending.
• Providing tax advice on business structures, strategies, and activities.
• Creating tax returns for individuals and entities.
• Implementing and sustaining accounting systems while recommending the use of Cloud-based accounting systems.
• Managing internal control systems.
