A great opportunity is available for an experienced restaurant manager to join our team.

Set on a vineyard in the heart of Mudgee wine region, The Barn restaurant offers a relaxed dining experience with a focus on simple, seasonal, delicious food. Open for lunch and dinner, Thursdays to Mondays, our menu is contemporary and seasonally driven to showcase local produce. The venue can seat 100 covers.

We have a permanent full-time position available for an experienced restaurant manager. You will be responsible for running the floor on a day-to-day basis, training staff, managing rostering and ensuring the venue runs smoothly and efficiently. You will maintain a constant presence on the floor, leading, coaching and empowering the food and beverage team to consistently provide exemplary service standards.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Genuine passion for food and wine
• Be well presented and a confident communicator
• Proactive and positive attitude
• Amazing customer focus
• Excellent problem solving

Responsibilities:
• Managing the FOH team
• Weekly team rostering via Deputy
• Ensuring team timesheets and tips are correctly managed
• Training & recruiting FOH team members to provide excellent customer service & ensure all team members can communicate our food & drink offering effectively
• Managing the customer booking system
• Answering all customer queries in a timely and professional manner via email & phone
• Developing the daily seating plan & ensure any special dietary requirements are met
• Carrying out opening & closing procedures including daily set up, pack down, cleaning and closing the till
• Providing hands-on customer service - including welcoming customers, seating customers, running plates & drinks, running up bills
• Managing the pass to ensure food is delivered to customers in a timely and effective manner and that all special dietary requirements are met smoothly
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety, RSA, first aid, and employment regulations
