Prime Objective:
• To fit tyres in a safe and efficient manner and uphold Newsome’s Tyre & Mechanical Policies and Procedures.
• Perform any task that is required for the safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the job, personnel and/or vehicle.
• Follow all lawful direction given by a person in a Supervisory role within the Company while acting in a manner that will promote the interests of Newsome’s Tyre & Mechanical.
This position will be responsible for but not restricted to:
? Customer service (when required)
? Removal and refit of rims and wheel assemblies on all vehicle types
? Repair tyres and tubes
? Checking and adjusting vehicle tyres and wheels using electronic equipment
? Remove, repair and refit tyre and wheel assemblies in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and the relevant standards
? Tyre balancing and alignment
? Perform tyre changeovers
? Performing tyre diagnostics (e.g. condition, pressure, tread, depth)
? Undertake tyre inflation pressure checks and adjustments
? Ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order at all times
? Adhere to Policies and Procedures which affect your work environment;
? Ensure the work environment complies with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, and reporting of Staff incidents and Potential Hazards on the appropriate forms; and
? Other duties as requested by Management.
ESSENTIAL Skills, Experience & Qualifications
• 2 year minimum experience in a similar role
• Driver’s license
