The Opportunity
MinRes is going through unprecedent growth where we are striving to double headcount over the next 2 years. With this growth comes fantastic opportunities within the business for our technical service division. We are looking at expanding the Geology department across our business and seek for experienced Geologist to come in with fresh ideas and help us grow to new heights. We have a variety of vacancies across our Lithium and Iron Ore division. For our Senior Geologist, you will be reporting to the Technical Service Superintendent working on a even time roster.
Where are the locations?
Our work stretches across all MinRes sites and we also have opportunities supporting our strategic clients too. Your work may see you in either the Pilbara or Goldfields regions.
What do you want from me?
We’re looking for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and enjoy a challenging yet rewarding work environment.
3 - 5 +years Hard-rock Open Pit experience
Ore block modelling and design
ROM and Stockpile management experience
Strong QAQC skills
Exposure to EOM reconciliations and reporting
RC and Blast-hole sampling and logging
Ore mark ups and ore spotting experience
Willingness to work in a fast paced environment
Tertiary Qualification in Geology
Essential software skills
3D mining software (Surpac preferred)
Acquire
Ore translation software (OrePro preferred)
Excel
