The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our People team as a HR Analyst based in either Port Kembla NSW, Mount Waverley VIC or Adelaide SA. As BlueScope continues to grow as a business we continue to strengthen our People team by looking to bring new capabilities into the function.
Are you passionate about delving into data and uncovering insights and trends? Whether you’re an experienced HR Analyst or looking to transition into the world of data-driven decision making, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
Join our team in this newly created role, where you will prepare, design and execute reports that are critical to our business. Your focus will be to extract and transform data from various sources while identifying and developing process improvements.

What Will You Do?
In this analytical role, you will support our high performing People Services team by managing internal requests and supporting the HR function.
You will:
- design and generate accurate and credible HR reports using reporting tools to assist the business make data-driven decisions
- create and manage data models through Power BI structured to deliver and align with Human Resource requirements
- analyse trends and provide actionable data insights that make meaningful differences.
- proactively assess needs of internal customers and develop tools and analytics to help HR best service their business
More About You
You will have a growth mindset, positive attitude and a strong analytical capability, in addition to:
- experience in data analytics, business intelligence
- experience with creating effective dashboards in PowerBI (or similar)
- effective communication skills
- a high attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- a customer centric focus with an ability to liaise with internal teams
- experience operating in an SAP environment
