The Associate Program is a structured four-year program combining full-time work experience with part-time study through Central Queensland University. Your study will be financed, and you’ll receive site expert support and mentorship to ensure your successful completion of the program. The Environment Associate role spans a range of environmental aspects including, water, air quality, noise, vibration, rehabilitation, biodiversity and circular economy, and other environmental aspects. You will learn these aspects and assist in striving to meet our legislative obligations, high safety benchmark, and 2040 zero waste goal.
Your role will see your assistance across the various tasks, including:
- Auditing and reporting on environmental inspections, incidents and hazards.
- Utalising and maintaining environmental equipment to gather samples and enter sample date into spreadsheets and databases.
- Analysing sample data, audits, field instrument data and laboratory reports with environmental models to generate trends, assess implications, prioritise projects and manage key site environmental.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental projects, works and improvement plans by partnering with operational teams.
- Providing advice, training, support and mentorship to operational teams on legislation, acts, and regulations.
- Managing environmental services contractors and consultants.
The completion of the program further enhances your flexibility, support, and job security as you will:
- Gain a nationally recognized, Associate certification,
- Secure a permanent Environment position with the Company, or
- Continue your studies within Environment or another functional area to secure a position within the Company.
