How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As a Project Manager working within the substation space you’ll be a vital part of the team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable. Your role will include:

Client Relationships & Project Delivery

Accountable for the overall success of all aspects of projects assigned by the Technical Director. This includes but is not limited to contract negotiation, project management, managing timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance, communication, and scope management of the projects, in line with the Aurecon methodology.

Accountable for effective closeout of projects and debrief on all projects with the client, Client Relationship Executive/Managers and Project Leaders; responsible for providing technical expertise and overseeing all technical aspects of projects.

Financial management

Manage project profitability and financial contribution for projects allocated by the Technical Director; ensure financial performance of the allocated projects in accordance with client proposals, business plans and budgets.


What we are looking for:

As well as experience in a similar electrical engineering substation design and transmission and distribution role you will be required to:

Be degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering

  • Ideally you will demonstrate extensive experience in electrical engineering professional/technical primary or secondary substation design with experience of high voltage (400-500KVA)
  • Strong engineering consulting, client management skills, experienced in the delivery of major and/or complex design projects
  • Excellent communicator with well-developed commercial, analytical, and technical skills, with a strong client focus and proven track record in business development.
  • Ability to manage projects from strategic and detailed planning, concept, and detailed design, and to demonstrate leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to lead a small team of junior staff.
