About the role

As a Specialist UI Designer, you will drive and actively create the CommSec design language. You will work closely with our UX designers, product owners and developers to design a beautifully crafted and seamless experience across our digital assets. Your ability to craft design that looks good while creating a great user experience for our customers will set you up for success in this role.

Your team

The Digital & Customer Experience Chapter Area in CommSec comprises of UX Designers, UI Designers, Digital Product Managers and Customer Strategy experts. The team is responsible for evolving the digital experiences across web and app at CommSec.

Your core responsibilities include

• Knowledge and application of Brand and tone of voice into graphical user interfaces

• Design world class human centered experiences across the various digital channels and mediums

• Prototype to create brand narrative as well as powerful visual storytelling to influence future direction of our experiences.

• Ideate and conceptualise divergent ideas to explore solution options and converge on a subset of concepts that best solve for the identified problem space.

• Development of innovative interface designs, typography, and screen layouts for web sites, and touch applications.

• Actively contribute and evolve the CommSec Design Language and design system.

• Create design documentation to be consumed by delivery teams in a scaled agile working environment.

• Work with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority to deliver the best user experiences to our target customers.

What we are looking for

• Highly developed user interface and interaction design skills with applied knowledge of visual design, accessibility, responsive and scalable design

• Demonstrated usage of tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, Figma and Adobe Suite

• Experience in designing for native platforms in iOS, Android, and Web with working knowledge of Swift, Jetpack, React or similar

• Demonstrated experience creating functional prototypes

• A curious mindset with an aptitude and passion for learning new skills in analytics, content, research, and coding

• An ability to confidently communicate with technical and engineering teams across multiple communication mediums to realise final execution

• Demonstrated experience working with design systems including governance, maintenance, and documentation

We are currently seeking an experienced OpenRoads Designer to join our AECOM Civil Infrastructure Digital Team in Perth. As a Principal Technical Officer, you will provide leadership to technical staff on complex, large scale projects that deliver high standard outcomes for AECOM clients.

To be successful in this role, candidates will have leadership experience in running the design component of projects, the ability to guide teams through the design of technically sound models in a timely and efficient manner which ultimately improves the service offered to clients. Strong data management skills along with effective communication skills are essential as is the management of project staff.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Lead project teams in technical development, customisation of Open Roads
• Production of OpenRoads road design models to appropriate standards and presentation
• Training and mentoring team members
• Development and maintenance of relationships with external parties to ensure maximum benefit is achieved for AECOM from these relationships.

The Audio Designer will handle all aspects of audio production, from planning and recording to designing assets and implementing them. They will work closely with various teams across departments, in alignment with the vision set by the Audio Director.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Collaborate across multiple teams and studios to help design effective game features and gameplay mechanics from initial concept to final product
• Conduct high quality audio recording both in the studio and field recording
• Create AAA quality audio design employing expert skills in DAWs and audio plugins
• Implement using our Snowdrop Engine utilizing expert skills in audio middleware Wwise
• Effectively handle extensive file management and version control tasks utilizing Perforce
• Document technical and artistic configurations in the audio design document

• Thoroughly test audio systems, including profiling in Wwise and the Engine, to identify and address bugs and optimise performance
