We are seeking a Product Designer to help drive the company's design system to refine and push our user experience to the next level, as well as launch exciting new features to our ever growing audience.

You’ll be joining a highly experienced and fresh-minded tech-loving design team, directly contributing to the creative collaboration and reworking of Freelancer’s design space. You’ll have great creative vision and expertise in visual communication with UX, UI and branding.
The type of designer weʼre looking for:
- You are a Product Designer with a deep understanding and appreciation of digital technologies and how they are designed.
- You love people; empathizing with users, problem solving and creating amazing product experiences.
- Strong visual design skills, and being able to use them to craft engaging and meaningful experiences for our users.
- You love to prototype to help get your ideas across and refine and rework to get a working version out for live testing.
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative workplace; partnering with the rest of the design team, product managers, engineers, and other disciplines throughout the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Work as part of the product design team designing features that impact millions of users, ensuring all user facing touch points align with our design system and the company’s overall vision.
- Collaborate with the Design Systems team to build the next generation UI components for the Freelancer ecosystem.
- Planning and conducting UX research projects (workshops, interviews, surveys and usability testing sessions) including defining research objectives, developing scripts and test plans, participant recruitment and conducting sessions.
- Producing journey maps, user flows, sketches and annotated wireframes.
- Determine information architecture and create sitemaps.
- Production of design prototypes (both low and high fidelity) for demos and stakeholder feedback.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience of end-to-end product design. You have a track-record of tackling complex problems and delivering simple and elegant solutions for digital products.
- Extensive experience working with Figma managing design systems. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is also desirable.
- You have a great portfolio that demonstrates experience in designing world class user interfaces and product features.
- You excel in UI Design. You're driven to create strong visual designs that align with brand and design systems.
- Strong UX knowledge across iOS, Android, desktop apps and web.
- Attention to detail; master of typography, color theory and layout.
- Creative problem solving skills and conceptual thinker.
- Ability to work both within existing brand guidelines and on the development of new brands.
- Understanding of information architecture, responsive web, native mobile design.
- Strong working knowledge of frontend web technologies. You do not need to be a developer though but need to understand how things will be built.
- Positive attitude, team player, and proactive contributor.
- Ability to support, take direction and deliver.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
