The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our BlueScope Distribution business as a Business Development Manager based in Granville. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source product, processing and service solutions provider of steel and aluminium. Our business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. We support our customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.
In this exciting customer-facing opportunity, you will grow and build strong partnering relationships with our customers, now and for the future. While developing sales strategies, you will ensure profitable growth of revenue, margin and market share for our BlueScope Distribution business within the aluminium space.

What Will You Do?
Based in Granville and covering the Sydney Metro region, you will:
- lead the aluminium strategy and growth trajectory by identifying new business opportunities and improving our share of wallet with existing customers
- aluminium forecasting across rolled and extruded products and support the pricing fundamentals to the market
- work closely with the sales team to grow revenue, margin and market share
- identify new customers through building sustainable relationships with key stakeholders - including industry bodies and specialists
- research and investigate key industry projects for future business growth opportunities
- provide leadership, guidance and input into key customer supply proposals, quotes and tender submissions across the business within the aluminium space
More About You
Along with your ability to understand and uncover customer needs and transforming these into improved product and service offerings, you will bring:
- experience in the development and execution of end-to-end targeted sales and growth strategies for targeted markets within the steel industry
- business 2 business sales experience
- effective relationship management and influencing capability
- commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing and margin and its impact on profitability
