About the Role (your why)

• Security focussed mindset with Endpoint protection experience (Sophos, CrowdStrike etc.)
• Experience with ITSM Tools

We are seeking to appoint an Application Support Lead to be located in our VIC, NSW or QLD office. This is a newly created role and will support our Manager, IT Operations by managing and monitoring the Australian Engineering and Design application platform. You will focus on Engineering and Design applications, cloud technologies and security, ensure integrity of all systems, integrations, and security of data.

• Install, configure, maintain, and support AutoCAD suite of products, 12D Synergy / Modelling, TuFlow modelling, BlueBeam and QGIS with the ability to package the applications using Intune or SCCM.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems with existing applications.
• Recommend improvements to existing applications and prepare proposals for new software development projects.
• Perform quality assurance testing on new applications to ensure they meet industry standards for functionality and usability.

About The Role:

As a Level 2 Support Analyst you will be responsible for the support of Civica’s Education applications and services.  As a member of the Level 2 Support Team, you will assist with the diagnosis, remediation, and resolution of production issues, liasing with the client support team, internal IT operations and development teams where necessary.  The role will also involve engaging external vendors.

Other keys areas of responsibility will include:

• Provide excellent customer service in line with Civica Service Desk Charter and Values.
• Provide application support for products and services produced by Civica to defined service levels.
• Diagnose and resolve functional issues.
• Prioritise customer needs and deliver solutions with a customer-centric approach.

• Identify recurring issues and share findings to prevent similar problems from happening in the future.

• Adhere to Service Management policies, processes, and procedures (e.g. ticket handling policy, incident management, request fulfilment and problem management), follow all relevant business and information security processes as documented in the relevant management systems, and provided by Team Leader.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a customer-facing Service Desk environment.
• Proficient in process analysis, problem-solving techniques, and troubleshooting skills.
• Previous application support experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail, organised and possess excellent time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite
• Experience with SQL scripting.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices.
• Previous experience supporting Education and Finance systems.

Support hours are Monday to Friday between 7 am to 6 pm ACDT/ACST.

Role and Responsibilities

The Technical Manager, reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, is responsible for the overall management and coordination of CAE resources (maintenance and support personnel), budget and operational maintenance requirements of the training devices under their control. The Technical Manager is responsible to ensure the successful delivery of all maintenance services and user training outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.

The Technical Manager achieves desired profit contribution targets by monitoring and reporting on maintenance performance and costs in accordance with approved operating budgets, controlling the resources under their jurisdiction and taking corrective action where necessary.

The Technical Manager is the point‐of‐contact for the end user and customer on site for day to day operational needs.

The Technical Manager is responsible to the KPI achievement, Customer Satisfaction, Team engagement and development, Regulatory Compliance, Environment, Health and Safety and Overall support for the Training Center operations.

Maintenance Technical Manager

We are opening a new training centre in Sydney in 2024, as a part of this we are looking for an experienced manager to take on the position of Maintenance Technical Manager.
