About the Role (your why)

Working as a Desktop Support Engineer you will be responsible for the provision of all aspects of End User Services to Datacom’s customers. Aligned to our customers business requirements, we provide tailored maintenance services, hardware and software break/ fix support, remote support, software deployment and relocation services.

This role will be based in Adelaide and require Australian Citizenship due to customer requirements.

What you’ll do

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be accountable for, but not limited to:

• Providing excellent technical support in a high-paced environment where customer satisfaction is paramount.
• Assisting new users with their IT hardware collection and setup.
• Ensuring new equipment, such as Laptops and Mobile phones, are up to date and deployment ready prior to release to customers
• Recording all customer contacts in the appropriate ITSM tool
• Keeping commitments to customers with regard to progress updates
• Using tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with SLAs
• Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure as directed
• Initiate and drive service and process improvement
• Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (EG: Change/release)

The Opportunity

About the role

• This opening is for a Transport Administrator / Customer Service Officer to join our team in Murarrie

• This is a Full time, Permanent Role. The working hours for this role are 10:00 – 18:00  

• Manage customer and client freight queries with key clientele  

• Respond to phone calls and emails from customers and resolve queries in a prompt manner

• Follow up customer and customer store calls to ensure delivery and pick-up times are met

• Using our systems and software to complete routing tasks, in order to organise driver runs and align them to our delivery deadlines

• Extract data from spreadsheets in order to coordinate our driver runs

• Use your knowledge of the Brisbane region to organise drivers and coordinate runs effectively and efficiently

• Reschedule any urgent deliveries directly with customers and re-route drivers where necessary

• Support our drivers when required to ensure high levels of fleet presentation

• Utilise our systems to complete administration and data entry tasks

• Handle each customer interaction with empathy and resilience, adapting to diverse needs and situations.

THE ROLE

Exciting career opportunity for a technically strong Level 1 / Level 1.5 Service Desk Engineer looking to take the next step in their career as a IT Technical Support Lead to train and develop our growing team. To be successful in this role you will be someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional support to our customers whilst overseeing the day-to-day operations of our high-performing L1 Support Team. You will be an autonomous operator who takes pride in delighting our customers with your quality service, but who also inspires and can lead a team by example to a shared goal. You will oversee the day-to-day operations for the team including ticket management, technical escalations, advising on client processes & procedures and direction for the team as needed. The role will start as a full-time in-office position and after 3 months, can take one work day from home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support Excellence

• Ensure customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met.
• Proactively communicate with clients and stakeholders within appropriate timeframes.
• Assist the team in completing technical work, resolving incidents and reducing backlogs.
• Focus on first-call resolution and ensure ticket hygiene is being maintained.
• Ensure the team is following Incident Management and Problem Management processes.
• Actively take ownership for complex tickets ensuring commercial awareness is applied.

2. Quality Assurance

• Review of team timesheets weekly ensuring billable targets are met.

• Ensure team time entries are accurate, comply with guidelines, and are submitted and approved within agreed timeframes.

3. Technical Leadership

• Minimum 5 years’ professional work experience

Working with in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Science, the Academic Support Officer is responsible for providing administrative support, within a designated year level, to ensure effective academic planning and administration of matters relating to course management.

Working in collaboration with the Program Support Officer(s), the Academic Support Officer manages and undertakes processes in providing administrative course support to the Deputy Heads of School (Learning and Teaching), Program Directors and Advisors, Course Convenors and Academic Staff.

Salary Range

The Team
