• Ensure robust case management activity with all activity entered into the system, ensuring all progress, plans, communications and interactions with participants and stakeholders are clearly documented.

• Established networks within the NDIS and Northern Suburbs Community.

• Working knowledge of the Disability Act 2006 (Vic) and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding framework, as relevant to the use and reporting of restrictive practices.
• Experience supporting people who use behaviours of protest/concern as a form of communication, using the principles of active support and positive behaviour support.
• Demonstrated ability to provide advice, support, coaching, and mentoring to staff in person centred active support and positive behaviour support through a trauma informed lens.
• Experience developing a range of support plans/protocols, informed by data-driven functional behaviour assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a clinical case load to ensure a person-centred/driven and trauma informed approach focusing on the protection, maintenance, and upholding of human rights of people who use behaviours of protest/concern.
• Develop positive behaviour support plans based on robust functional behaviour assessments and focused on enhancing people’s quality of life and facilitate the implementation of plans to reduce and eliminate the use of restrictive practices over time.
• Ensure that where restrictive practices are identified they are used only if necessary and are the least restrictive option.

What you’ll bring  

You’ll have previous experience: 

• Working for a government customer or in a highly regulated industry

• Experience monitoring the performance of operations team’s productivity and contractual compliance, i.e., SLA achievement, aged ticket management, change management, etc.

Role Overview:

The Strategic Business Partnering Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving Melba’s progressive and ambitious People Strategy. Understanding the critical link between people and business success, this role is responsible for leading a team of Business Partners to ensure our leaders are supported right across the employee life cycle.

Our Business Partnering team will leverage data to provide insights and to accelerate the achievement of our overall strategic goals, whilst continuing to improve the employee experience from attraction right through to exit.  

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic HR Business Partnering model to enhance the overall employee experience and customer experience for our supported people.
• Lead, coach and mentor a team of HR Business Partners enabling them to truly partner with the organization and to understand their business needs, leverage their expertise, data and other insights to add value.
• Take every opportunity, big and small, to enhance the employee experience right throughout the employee life cycle. 
• Partner with senior leaders to develop key relationships and provide strategic HR support, advice and coaching.
• Work with senior leaders to predict and anticipate workforce needs and to design roles and teams to best achieve our strategic and operational outcomes.
• Ensure monthly operational data is reviewed and communicated with key stakeholders and acts to inform continuous improve initiatives and identify any risks identified for action i.e employee engagement, exit interview feedback.
• Develop and update Employee Experience policies and procedures, ensuring they are contemporary, compliant and reflective of Melba’s commitment to becoming an employer of choice. 

About You:

• Proven experience (7+ years) in a strategic Business Partnering role.
• Strong working knowledge of legislative frameworks and industrial awards.
• Highly developed leadership skills, adopting an empowering coaching to bringing out the best in your team.
• A creative and strategic thinker where you can see the big picture, connect the dots, and think outside the box.
• Strong communicator and relationship builder and able to adapt your style to meet the needs of others.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead the design and implementation of learning strategies and programs that strengthen leadership and management capability and performance management i.e talent development programs.
• Provide leadership in developing a learning organisation focused on its people, our organisational culture, continuous improvement and learning outcomes.
• Manage and coach a team of direct reports to ensure the successful implementation of learning and development initiatives.
• Partner with our Transformation team to support change management initiatives where there is an identified capability uplift i.e. digital literacy, documentation practice, system usage.

• Responsible for the implementation of a Learning Management System to facilitate compliance monitoring and to provide access to learning and development opportunities for our workforce.

About You:

• Proven experience (7+ years) in designing and implementing learning strategies, preferably in leadership and management development and within a similar sector.
• Demonstrated success in leading the uplift of an organisations capability across key competencies and contributing to an improved employee experience. 
• Extensive experience in developing and implementing capability development programs for diverse audiences and learning styles through varying delivery models.
• Experience managing a Learning Management System and overseeing L&D budgets and vendor relationships.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to think strategically and demonstrated experience in effective program management.
• Ability to critically evaluate information from various angles, assess risks, and identify solutions.

About the Role

 As an Outcomes Lead at Community Connections, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding a team of Disability Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centered outcomes for the people we support. Your responsibilities include:

• Understanding, developing, and refining individual programs of support in line with a person’s NDIS goals
• Developing links to a person’s community that offer them greater opportunity for inclusion and the development of valued social roles
• Onboarding, supporting, supervising, and developing of assigned team members
• Managing transport logistics during service delivery
• Collaborating on service quality monitoring, planning, analysis, and reporting
