Our client, a private school in Victoria is seeking a skilled and experienced Onsite Support Engineer. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Level 2 technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, deploying devices, and managing user accounts. A strong understanding of Windows OS, macOS, Google Workspace, and Active Directory is essential, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with Windows 10/11, SCCM, and cloud-based systems is highly regarded. This role requires a process-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Onsite 5 days a week at Essendon, Victoria

Duration: January 6, 2025 til end of Term 1

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of smartphones and accessories at client's locations.
• Maintain accurate records of smartphone assets, including serial numbers, IMEI numbers, and staff assignments using Excel and ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with the project team to schedule and execute smartphone deployments at client's Head Office and depots.
• Provide excellent customer service during smartphone deployment sessions, assisting staff with setup, enrollment in InTune, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and security protocols during smartphone deployments.
• Manage the return and secure disposal of old smartphones from corporate staff.
• Weekly meetings with the client's project managers to report on deployment progress, discuss issues, and ensure project milestones are met.

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
• Proven Level 2 support experience, with strong expertise in Windows OS, macOS, common office applications, Google Workspace, and Active Directory
• Windows 10 & 11, and SCCM experience highly regarded
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and services (e.g. Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive)
• Skilled in network troubleshooting and proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues with mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Experienced in using ticketing systems for issue tracking and documentation, with attention to detail and quality output.
• Effective problem-solver, process-oriented, and capable of making timely decisions or escalating issues when necessary, even in high-pressure situations.

What you get to do in this role

• You will build the tools and infrastructure needed to make the mobile team as efficient as possible. You will help keep the mobile CI/CD pipeline running at top speed. We need smart and passionate engineers who are obsessed with squeezing every bit of performance out of a build system. You will ensure our apps are safely delivered to market. You will work side-by-side with app and test engineers to ensure consistent, high-confidence delivery through our CI/CD pipelines. We have a system running today but need to take it to the next level of scale, flexibility and availability. You will have a direct impact in shaping that future.
• Build, maintain and operate our mobile app CI/CD pipelines.
• Create the next generation test infrastructure for our mobile apps, focusing on scalability for a large geographically distributed team.
• Track and monitor build metrics such as code coverage, build times, build queue times, usage/consumption for build agents, and chart them overtime.
• Increase developer and release velocity, improve code health, improve code security by surfacing vulnerabilities, and build developer tools.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Hydraulics Engineer to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our Buildings and Places business line, you will lead hydraulic engineering projects across various sectors, including aviation, healthcare, commercial, and defence.

• Serve as the Hydraulics lead on major projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Act as Technical Lead and sign off on hydraulic designs and calculations, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and codes.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Manage client relationships and consult with stakeholders to determine optimal hydraulic solutions for project requirements.
• Lead the design and implementation of various hydraulic systems, including rainwater harvesting, sanitary plumbing and drainage, trade waste drainage, water reticulation, and energy-efficient water heating system.

You’ll need to be team oriented and flexible, with a really good approach to electronic repair and troubleshooting. You’ll be cross-trained on our products and you’ll be expected to follow complex schematics in isolating issues and in assembly.

The day-to-day

You’ll be resolving issues, troubleshooting, installing, servicing, and repairing equipment at customer sites. That includes working on some special high-visibility projects and following up with customers.

You’ll also be expected to:

• Meeting daily service and repair needs and drive customer satisfaction
• Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field; providing customer training as required
• Document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work
• Reviews all logs for open issues and prepares formal reports to customers
• Assesses product and equipment performance and recommend modifications or improvements

You’ll be working primarily with Trace and X-ray equipment, and work closely with colleagues and Technical Support staff. This is a role that requires some travel, and may also require the ability to work outside of normal business hours.

This is a Fixed term contract role for 2 years.

This role will have the rotating roster.
