The Customer Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring our clients receive timely assistance and resolution to technical support issues. Utilizing different resources like the user guide, internal knowledge, and their own curiosity to solve problems, the Support Analyst will investigate and solve user-reported questions and problems related to the functioning of their Actionstep systems. As a tenacious and customer friendly expert, the Support Agent focuses on getting users results with a human touch.

Reporting to the ANZ Team Lead, the Customer Support Analyst will manage a daily workflow of managing new and open tickets, running screenshares with users to determine next steps on resolutions, and working across the Customer and Support teams to document and share product knowledge.

What You Will Do:

Respond and manage to completion inbound tickets from Actionstep users across a variety of topics in time-sensitive situations, providing first level support with thoughtful, concise messages that provide expert solutions to our users.

Schedule and complete troubleshooting screenshare video calls with users when necessary, using excellent business etiquette and customer management skills to achieve high customer satisfaction.

Maintain and increase product knowledge through training and active research across Actionstep resources.

Thoroughly document user contacts, issues, and resolutions via help desk software, and contribute to team knowledge by submitting proposed solutions in internal and external documentation.

About the Role

Due to continued growth within our team, we have multiple roles across Australia. Working as a Desktop Support Engineer you will be responsible for the provision of all aspects of Desktop Services to a key Datacom customer. Aligned to our customers business requirements, we provide tailored maintenance services, hardware and software break/fix support, remote support, software deployment and relocation services.

The locations of our offices for these roles are based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. These roles are based in the customer or Datacom offices. To be eligible for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain an AGSVA Baseline clearance.  If you are a Permanent Resident, please specify in your application as we may have other suitable opportunities available across our teams.

What you’ll do

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be accountable for, but not limited to:

• Providing excellent technical support in a high-paced environment where customer satisfaction is paramount
• Assisting new users with their IT hardware collection and setup.
• Ensuring new equipment, such as Laptops and Mobile phones, are up to date and deployment ready prior to release to customers
• Recording all customer contacts in the appropriate ITSM tool
• Keeping customers updated with regards to their tickets
• Using tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with SLAs
• Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure as directed
• Initiate and drive service and process improvement
• Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (EG: Change/release)
