We are seeking a skilled Business / System Configuration Analyst to join our small transformation team and contribute to the successful implementation, configuration and maintenance of our proprietary in-house system. This is a great opportunity to join the team from the get-go as we start our build and transformation journey, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the system is optimized, secure, and aligned with business requirements.

The role will require you to have experience and deliver on the follwing:

• Structured and critical thinking to synthesise data from several systems and map those into receiving system. Understand transformation requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-brand / cross- functional teams to gather system requirements and translate them into configuration specifications.
• Configure and maintain system settings, parameters, and rules to ensure optimal performance.
• Work extensively with business to identify data which requires cleaning. Proactively solutioning how to lessen business load required to clean data.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with developers and system administrators to implement changes and updates.
• Facilitate business testing by providing test scripts, functional support, and being the conduit to capture issues for resolution by the development team
• Be proactive in identifying areas of process/technology improvement/innovation
• Document configuration changes, processes, and best practices.
• Participate in system upgrades and migrations.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations.
• Provide end-user support and training related to system configuration.
• Strong knowledge of system configuration principles and best practices.

Purpose of your role

This role is an integral part of the Group Finance team responsible for providing financial reporting and insights for the business. Focus areas of this role include partnering with members of our Group Executive team to prepare and provide financial results analysis and insights, enabling excellence in business performance of each respective function.  You will also collaborate closely with our Group Financial Controllership team on month-end and year-end financial reporting and you will manage the budgeting and forecasting process for your key Group functions.

This role will suit a highly engaged and curious individual, capable of clear communication, with a high level of commercial acumen, attention to detail and the ability to critically assess information to provide valuable, actionable insights.

What you do

• Partner with members of the Group Executive team to provide ongoing financial reporting and analytical support through delivery of regular functional performance reporting, key insights and ad hoc analysis
• Manage the month end process for allocated functions including ensuring that financial results are accurate, and reports are released with detailed insights on performance against expectations
• Lead the forecasting and budgeting process for allocated functions, ensuring the accuracy and critical analysis of all inputs and outputs, including timely communication with all stakeholders throughout the process
• Assist with the development of ad-hoc business cases supporting investment opportunities
• Assist the wider business in understanding performance drivers, performance against expectations and developing insights to assist key stakeholders in making informed decisions
• Identify and implement continuous improvements across finance processes including leveraging technology to enhance reporting capabilities, planning, and month end process

We are looking for a Fraud Analyst to join our Fraud and Crime Monitoring team and help prevent high-risk and fraudulent activity across payments and digital banking channels.  
The Fraud Analyst is integral to the successful deployment of fraud rules, strategies and delivering optimal outcomes for our clients and their customers. The team is accountable for identifying new threats by analysing; complex data sets; behavioural data; and intelligence to test and implement fraud or scam monitoring strategies in various platforms. 
 
In this role you will be responsible for: 

• Detection of fraudulent transactions at the earliest opportunity and recommending strategies to reduce fraud. 
• Testing and Implementation of rules within detection systems to reduce fraud. 
• Validation of new and emerging data sets, including the proficiency of AI and Machine learning models 
• Investigation of complex events to drive the optimisation of rules and controls 
• Detection of common points of compromise, and mitigating the risk associated with such events. 
• Providing advisory services to our clients and key stakeholders within Cuscal. 
• Contribution to investigations of significant items and escalation to management 
• Identifying weaknesses in processes and procedures to improve fraud prevention strategy. 
• Delivering insights to Cuscal clients on fraud trends, strategic insights and KPIs. 

About You: 

• You have proven experience working with tools that deploy rules, including algorithms, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - Fraud or scam experience highly regarded but not essential. 
• Understanding of relational databases and programming, minimum Python and SQL. Java experience is also highly regarded.  
• Proven ability to build and manage strong stakeholder relationships. 
• Analytical mindset and the ability to effectively problem solve. 
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools 
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. 
• Highly resilient and demonstrated confidence in working in a dynamic environment. 
• A Graduate Certificate in Fraud or Financial Crime or equivalent and post-graduate qualifications in Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics or Criminology will be highly advantageous.
