About the Job

Rest’s Data, Technology and Delivery (DTD) business unit is accountable for planning and preparing the organisation for the future through strategic technology innovation, as well as charting our business strategy and executing for today and tomorrow.

Situated in the Business Analysis Practice, the Senior Business Analyst has two main priorities:

1. Supporting the Product Owner/Business Owner/Sponsors to ensure that business needs and solutions options are understood
2. Ensuring the product/platform/project team have a shared understanding of the requirements, through written and verbal communication.

The Senior Business Analyst’s responsibilities include:

• Gathering and documenting requirements: Gather, review, analyse, validate, evaluate, and map business systems, processes and user needs and translate them into requirements/user stories with acceptance criteria
• Managing stakeholders: Engage, inform and negotiate with stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements and prioritise them
• Analysing and modelling: Analyse documents, programs, logic, process flows and specifications.  Model the requirements using a range of techniques such as process mapping, story mapping, user stories and acceptance criteria, business rules
• Managing the requirements lifecycle: Ensure that requirements/user stories are prioritised based on their value, complexity, and feasibility, ensuring that the most critical items are delivered first
• Team communication and collaboration: Work closely with Engineers, Testers, Change Managers Third Party members within the product/platform/project team to ensure everyone understands business requirements to be able to develop a fit-for-purpose solution
• Risk and issue management:  Identify risks and issues and develop effective mitigation/management strategies according to Rest’s risk framework, and communicate risk assessments and plans to the necessary stakeholders.

About the role:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll act as the voice of the customer to ensure that our teams continue to deliver more best-in-breed products that advance the way we pay, bank and invest. You’ll work as part of a team in a scrum setting and must be a self- motivated, proactive, and out-of-the-box thinker.
 
What you will be doing:

• Identifying strategies as well as improvement opportunities while also reengineering processes for greater efficiency.
• Selecting hardware, software and vendors.
• Conducting tests to ensure changes made by programmers are correct.

What you will need:

• Knowledge of financial services industry and an understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
• A bachelor’s in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience – Master’s degree is desirable.

• As a sector and geographical generalist this role brings exposure to a range of leading businesses (eg in technology, luxury goods, healthcare) all over the world
• The role will involve deep dive analysis and modelling of companies and requires the ability to synthesise and effectively articulate investment cases, differentiate between noise and material, fundamental value drivers and recognise what makes a business “high quality” and how that translates into long term, compounding returns
• The Senior Analyst will meet and question c-suite and operational management, investor relations and industry experts
• International travel (US, throughout Europe, Asia, Latam) will be necessary
• Provide bespoke research reports on topical issues. E.g. deep dive analysis on a particular market segment or theme
• Provide input to ad-hoc internal and external stakeholder queries
• Provide general market commentaries for presentation to a range of investment forums
• Assist with the implementation of key investment decisions under the guidance of the relevant asset class head

This is a senior level role in our specialist credit function. This may suit an underwriter from a banking environment with experience in large exposures (and/or asset finance). 

You'll be responsible for evaluating, structuring and documentation of revolving facilities in cash flow & equipment finance applications. As part of the credit risk evaluation process, you'll be reviewing financial statements and cash flow projections as well as other forms of due diligence. 

As a senior member of the team, you'll need to be a skilled negotiator as you agree loan terms with our customers. You'll be responsible for structuring loans and well as monitoring the performance throughout the life of the loan.

What you get to do in this role

In this role, the support engineer will resolve technical cases created by customers looking for help to understand or troubleshoot unexpected behaviors or to answer technical questions about the ServiceNow software and platform.

A successful candidate will be committed to providing amazing customer support experiences, using skills that include building trust, showing empathy and excellent communication to answer customer questions and resolve issues through various technologies including web, chat, email, case updates, as well as direct telephone support.

Understanding the ServiceNow platform and all core functionalities will be essential while employing various diagnostic tools to isolate the potential cause of the issue. The engineer is expected to diligently manage and resolve challenging issues assigned to them but may need to coordinate assistance from additional teams for more complex cases. As such, creative problem solving, a collaborative nature and flexibility will be key to your success.

Lastly, support engineers also play a key role in providing input across business units regarding process and product improvements due to their unique perspective when working on technical issues for customers.
