We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Disputes squad within our Shared Services team.  

Shared Services refers to the domain within our Product Division that has business ownership and accountability for the common assets and functions used within the Product Division. Shared Services is complex. As the link between other product domains, we are the business owner of over 40 applications.  

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the Business Analyst will support the integration of business needs with technology solutions through analysing information, understanding the requirements of stakeholders and vendor partners to define effective solutions. 

About the Role: 

• Work with stakeholders to understand needs, manage conflicts, and validate requirements.  

• Form and maintain effective relationships with third parties such as Vendors, Outsourced Partners, Business Partners and Clients  

• Organise and synthesize stakeholder information, apply analysis techniques, and ensure artefacts meet quality standards.  

• Capture, manage, and communicate requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with business needs.  

• Prepare and present business analysis artefacts according to Community of Practice (COP) standards.  

• Collaborate on cost & time estimation for business analysis tasks and support Go-Live plans and activities.  

• Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and clients to support project goals and business value  

• Perform value stream mapping and user story mapping to illustrate end-to-end business processes and identify improvements. 

• Understand TDD and BDD concepts to support end-to-end quality engineering outcomes through well-defined user stories and artefacts. 

About You: 

• At least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst in the IT industry within the Banking or Financial Services industry, payments experience highly regarded.  

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business studies or equivalent 

• Advanced presentation and communication skills  

• Proven experience in delivering results to meet customer expectations 

• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), IIBA, CBAP or BABOK qualifications.

Purpose of your role 

As a Senior Support Engineer you will be accountable for all escalations within the Support team. You will act as a technical expert for platforms and systems which fall under the SupportOps remit, ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently and with a high level of service. You will be the second point of contact for any technology incidents and be accountable for system support and remediation. You will also help to draft knowledge base articles and contribute to the upskilling of the wider team.

Working as part of a global Service Desk team to ensure smooth operations of our systems globally, this role will be heavily involved in the Incident, Problem and Fault management process for when things aren’t operating smoothly. Success in this role will rely on strong troubleshooting and investigation skills, a deep understanding of level 1, level 2 and Desktop support, experience with ITIL frameworks (certification preferable) and a commitment to best practice.

What you do

• Play a key role in a global Service Desk team, taking ownership for the Service Desk during the allocated time in the 24-hour schedule.
• Take ownership of major incidents and issues, seeing them through from start to finish.
• Provide technical support to the global Support team, and action all escalated issues and major incidents.
• Perform troubleshooting and investigations for more difficult issues as an escalation point and working with other teams or externally with vendors where appropriate.
• Participate in Fault/Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Resolution and Root Cause Analysis of IT Systems.
• Maintain Core Business Systems in a proactive manner, ensuring systems are available, reliable and secure, though proactive monitoring and tasks.
• Work with the IT Operations Team to perform regular maintenance and patching of systems and devices.
• Participate when required in the planning, execution and delivery of key technology initiatives.
• Lead by example by using consistent, open and transparent .communication across teams
• Acts as a positive advocate for the team.

About the Job:

Data Management:

• Day-to-day data management duties of Rest’s Enterprise Data Governance tool (Atlan), including but not limited to user access management, training both hands on and reference material development of collateral, feature enhancement identification and management, testing and rollout to business stakeholders.
• Promote, support and execute the value of good data governance and data quality practices across the enterprise to our key business partners, including data stewards, data owners and key business users across Rest.
• Execution of surveys and collection of results to identify data literacy gaps within enterprise, whilst working closely with PO Data Governance and Change Management office in the development and support of rolling out data literacy training.

Data Risk Management: Support and execution of Core Level 2 & Extended Level 3 Data Maturity training across Rest to enable Data Stewards and Delegated Data Owners adhere to their day-to-day data management activities for their Domain to remain under good governance.

Data Management Standards: Support the rollout of standards, frameworks, and guidelines for Data Management across Rest, in collaboration with information security, infrastructure, data privacy, risk partners and risk office members.

Data Management Uplift: Advise, develop, improve & follow best practices in data management for both ‘change’ and ‘run’ initiatives.

Data Education & Awareness: Contribute to the development of curriculum and content to uplift data management literacy and data culture across Rest.

Documentation: Ensure that informative, well-organized documentation with respect to data management is centrally maintained and kept up to date.
