Salary: AUD 70,000 – 80,000
Located in Tom Price Western Australia, Tom Price Hotel Motel has a restaurant, a bar and barbecue facilities. Providing an ideal mix of value, comfort and convenience, it offers a budget friendly setting with an array of amenities designed for travellers. We are searching for an energetic and capable Food & Beverage Operation Manager to oversee our busy bar and restaurant.
Summary of Position:
• Plan and Organise Functions and Special Events
• Oversee product quality and operational standards.
• Oversee and coordinate the day to day tasks necessary.
• Manage Staff.
• Knowledge of Company objectives.
• Liaise with other section Managers, and Group coordinators as required.
• Comply with legal and ethical standards.
Major Duties:
• Planning menus by consulting with chefs; estimates food costs and profits; adjusts menus.
• Making sure each guest will receive great dining experience through interactions with guests.
• Motivating and developing team by providing departmental training.
• Being part of hiring and training new joiners as brand standard.
• Scheduling and managing employees, as well as overseeing inventory.
• Resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and service.
• Making sure business complies with health and food safety regulations.
• Ensuring restaurant meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
• Manage and liaise as required to ensure the smooth running of all functions.
• Schedule staff: rosters as required to anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
• Ensure that all food and products are high quality and prepared and served following set standards- served according to the restaurant’s portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
• Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
• Appropriate pricing and quoting for functions.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
• Continually strive to improve staff skills and development.
• Be involved in recruitment decisions.
• Develops and execute a monthly marketing plan.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
• Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs of Tom Price Hotel Motel.
• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Degree Level of Qualification or Five Years of on the job work experience.
Main Skills and Experience:
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Experience in similar role.
