The Tours Manager is responsible for:

• Leading and driving our dedicated Tours department through effective financial management 
• Acting as a senior leader for Kakadu Tourism to make informed business decisions that balance with the needs of the local community and business stakeholders
• WHS, public liability, insurance, recruitment & retention, training, as well as departmental reporting.

This is a full-time, 2 weeks in and one week off roster working 9.5hours per shift.  

Who are we looking for?   

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your main responsibilities will be to deliver various Utility and Grounds services as part of a team. You must also be willing to provide a broad range of assistance to other services provided by Sodexo.  You will be required to attend to the maintenance of grounds areas, unloading and loading equipment, and general manual labour etc.

The role is based in the town and external ranger mine facilities eg FIFO camp, housing, Mess etc. You will be required to learn and abide by the ERA (Rio Tinto) safety procedures - this is good stepping stone for those looking to enter the mining industry.    

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous grounds and general maintenance experience in a remote site, mine camp, school, or large grounds area
• Able to follow instructions and ensure effective time management in the contractual service deliver
• Previous experience working with power tools, ride on mowers, chemical handling
• Previous experience working with safe usage of related chemicals, fertilisers, poisons and pesticides, as well as strong safety awareness and safe work ethic
• Able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Current Open Driver License

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the development and training of Guest Service Agents;
• Ensure that all daily tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner;

• A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy while scheduling appointments for residential customers
• Converting incoming enquiries into sales opportunities using excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills
• Ability to work to deadlines, KPI's and meet sales targets while working as a team and independently.
• Ability to multi-task and attend to ad-hoc jobs as and when they arise
• Documentation of all relevant information on the CRM to provide clear instruction for field technicians.
• Maintaining our databases by ensuring customer records and details are up to date while ensuring compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience working in call centre or internal sales environments (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in phone sales and converting enquiries into sales
• Capable of working with multiple web-based data-bases and email programs. Experience in Microsoft suite is desirable.
• Proficient with communicating verbally and electronically
• Able to work calmly under pressure while multitasking.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment to support fellow colleagues.
• Professional, reliable and punctual.
• Accurately enter data into systems.
