What Will You Do?

Always looking towards the future, you will be working directly with gas fired furnace operations, combustion technologies, gas systems, water systems, ancillary services, instruments and process control systems.

Work closely with operations, maintenance and other engineering disciplines to develop, assess and implement improvement opportunities driving efficiency and sustainability. Excitingly, you will have the opportunity to be involved in capital projects involving the latest technology used in global steel production, as well as other initiatives. With your analytical, hands-on approach you will:

• liaise with Operations and Maintenance Departments to provide process engineering support for the day to day operations of the plant
• identify, investigate and implement process improvement projects for water, fuels, ancillary services, energy efficiency, carbon reduction and automation.
• deliver continuous safety, quality and environment outcomes to support the production and supply of our products whilst ensuring compliance with relevant Standards.
• be a part of both a large inter-disciplinary engineering team, and a large process engineering network across BlueScope’s various sites

More About You

You will have a degree qualification in Chemical Engineering or similar (Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering). Your practical knowledge and sound communication skills will see you succeed in this role. You will have had exposure to heavy industrial equipment as well as managed small-scale projects.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated casual Broadcast Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining broadcast and IT systems, ensuring smooth operations across the broadcast infrastructure. You will provide technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other technology teams to ensure optimal performance. A strong understanding of broadcast systems, audio engineering, and information technology is essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities: Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing prompt technical support for 6PR broadcast and IT systems.
• Managing incidents via service delivery ticketing systems.
• Assisting other broadcast technology teams as needed.
• Maintaining studio cleanliness and reporting any equipment faults.
• Ensuring the accurate playback of commercial material and reporting any discrepancies.

The Chief Engineer is responsible for the engineering processes and tools within the project, ensuring that the business’s projects are set up and operating to deliver; safe, fit for purpose and supportable solutions to our Defence customers. You will help to shape future opportunities, oversee contract responses, support technical hiring and project mobilisation, delivery and closure of projects.

You will also provide advice and guidance to the Director on defence engineering related technologies data and trends. You will inform and shape the corporate level view, propose R&D investment and promote cross-business technical collaboration.

• Maintain and uplift engineering processes and tools within the project
• Working with the Security Engineering Manager on workforce planning
• Managing Technical Authorisations within the project

The Position:

We are currently seeking an experianced Service Manager to join our team in Perth North.  In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and profitability of Workforce Australia contracts within the relevant Employment Service Areas. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will oversee a team of Workforce Australia consultants within your designated area, as well as all relevant KPI measures.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensure team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations are consistently met and exceeded.
• Establish and communicate clear direction for the effective operations of all locations / Regions, set objectives and priorities, promote effective teamwork and innovative solutions.
• Develop the capacity of your team to perform and contribute by providing leadership, supervision, coaching/mentoring, feedback and opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods.
• Be accountable and transparent to the Regional Manager with respect to business risk, governance, contractual and financial performance.
• Ensure placement rates are achieved across all locations / Regions in line with approved Workforce Australia budget.
