About the role:

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will lead a small team responsible for providing hypercare to our high risk customers. You will support and guide your team to help equip everyone with the tools to be successful. You will also attend Customer meetings, understand expectations and create / manage an execution plan. This is a hands on role, responding to our customers and working to a fast resolution.

What you’ll do:

• Create and maintain training documentation for both customers and staff
• Conduct regular training sessions with your team, along with QA audits
• Proficient in excel and reporting
• Use data to guide your decisions and actions
• Ensure service standards are met, such as SLA and CSAT - focusing on continuously improving our offering to customer
• Monitor workload and make sure this is evenly distributed
• Escalations - you will be great at de-escalating a situation and committed to getting a fast resolution
• Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the customer

The position is responsible for developing concept designs for physical products that position ANCA Motion as best in class among our competitors.  Sound Industrial Design principles are expected to be utilised in development of concepts to ensure usability and aesthetics.  Design concepts must fully consider product cost implications.  Undertake detailed design tasks for mechanical components and sub-systems.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Marketing & Sales and Field personal to capture key product requirements and pain points with existing products.
• Execute comprehensive benchmarking of global product offerings to help guide the concept development process.
• Develop design concepts which can achieve all product requirements as defined in the product requirements.
• Explore opportunities to add additional innovative features above and beyond those explicitly being requested, which can delight the customer.
• Utilise sound industrial design principles to ensure products achieve a high level of usability (ergonomics) and aesthetics (branding / look & feel).
• Engage with Purchasing / Supply Chain to ensure that concept designs can be produced using viable and cost-effective manufacturing processes.  Design concepts must include high level cost estimates that are supported by actual supplier quotes and/or best judgement engineering estimates.
• Design of mechanical components and systems.
• Creation of part drawings and specifications.
• Creation of Assembly drawings and Bill of Materials.
• Release of mechanical documents to Production.
• Ensure all design meet product requirements.
• Simulation of systems with considerations for thermal, electrical, and magnetic effects.
• Update and manage existing mechanical designs to support ongoing production.
• Analysis and development of test plans to validate designs against relevant standards.
• Development and construction of test fixtures for design validation and production
• Development and construction of marketing showcases for new products
• Detailed cost analysis of in development products with a focus of material costs and volume considerations
• Management and creation of external facing documents such as user guides and field notices

Contribute to the development activities of the Hardware Engineering team. Undertake independent detailed electronic design tasks in collaboration with other members of the team. Support product sustaining activities.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design electronic devices that achieve all defined product requirements (including unit cost targets).
• Careful consideration for Design for Manufacture / Assembly / Service.
• Ensure that development projects follow the defined New Product Development process and are driven to completion with a sense of urgency.
• Act with a sense of urgency in response to quality issues discovered in production or the field.
• Explore opportunities to add additional innovative features above and beyond those explicitly being requested, which can delight the customer.
• Where appropriate, ensure that electronic circuit designs leverage previous designs to save on development and validation effort as well as commonising on already stocked components.
• Work with Production Engineers to deploy newly designed products into the production line.
• Develop comprehensive user facing documentation (eg. Product User Manuals, Specification Sheets, Field Notices, etc.)
• Contribute to the Hardware Product Roadmaps.
• Support Field Application Engineers and Aftermarket Technicians with diagnostic procedures for root causing field issues relating to Hardware Products.
• Provide pre-sales assistance to Sales Personal and Field Application Engineers on possible solutions to customer requirements and pain points.

About the Role

The Endpoint Engineering team assists companies by supporting their environments day to day and recommending best practises to follow and implement. The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience. You will problem-solve technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. As a SOE Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Customers endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when they arise. You will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience to Datacom’s endpoint customer base.

This role is open in all our Datacom offices in Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney).

Please note to be successful in this role you would need to be an AU Citizen with baseline clearance

What you will do

As a SOE Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM and Intune
• Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory – Group Policy Management
• Strong technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and W365
• Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
• Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
• Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
• Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms (Intune/SCCM)
• 2 years' experience in Citrix Image Management mandatory
• Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
• Operate in, and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing team
• Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
• Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.g., change/release).
• Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requested
• Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)
• Assist with projects as required
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
• Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation such as Designs, As-Builts, How-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecycles

What you will bring

You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar SOE Engineer role. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11. Along with good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications. You will have exceptional skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, and Virtual Desktops). You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.
