Colliers People & Performance team is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our national People & Performance team. The role will play a crucial part in shaping and executing the people strategy and objectives for a dedicated portfolio.

As a People & Performance team we are focused on supporting the business to create a seamless people experience across the operational employee lifecycle, as well as partnering to deliver tailored advice and solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:  

• Providing trusted advice and guidance on HR related issues as a genuine partner.
• Building an effective and robust relationship with the service line leaders within your portfolio.
• Management of the full spectrum of employee relations matters
• Development and communication of HR policy and procedure changes, ensuring they are up to date with relevant legislative requirements.
• Local management of all cyclical activities including Promotions, Salary Reviews, Engagement Survey briefings and Talent & Performance Management.
• Designing and executing projects to drive engagement and retention efforts within the business.
• Collaborating with Business Leaders & People Managers to elevate employee experience through employee engagement, retention and culture initiatives. 

Reporting directly to a dedicated and experienced Portfolio General Manager, you will have the opportunity to steer and direct the highly engaged F&B, Front Office, Reservations & Engineering teams to success.

You will be supported by an experienced ExCom team from T&C, Sales & Marketing, Finance and Revenue and have direct access to the hotel asset management team, working collaboratively to ensure optimisation of revenue generation and ultimate guest satisfaction.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Provide operational and strategic direction to hotel management team, and support manager’s in their individual roles to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Prepare end of month reporting and attend owners meetings with the Portfolio General Manager to best represent the operations of the hotel
• Promote the Hotel’s ongoing ESG commitments, ensuring green choices are made in line with our roadmap to carbon and energy reduction and bringing to life our social elevator philosophy
• Conduct regular analysis on all departments to continuously improve productivity, quality, market competitiveness and service standards
• Engage with our loyal guests, seeking feedback and setting strategies for increased customer satisfaction and RPS across our rooms and F&B offerings

Report to the Resorts General Manager, you will consider yourself a confident and absolute 'all round' resort leader, as this varied role will see you, build and maintain successful relationships and a positive culture amongst the team to enhance guests and key stakeholders relationships.  You will provide a versatile approach in leadership and support and in all areas of park operations, from Food and Beverage and Events, to Housekeeping and daily operational leadership. 

What You’ll do

• Oversee the smooth running of park day to day operations
• Provide a versatile and hands-on approach in supporting your department heads to ensuring quality standards, effective communication and consistency across all areas of the resorts operation
• Ensure an amazing guest experience and continue to drive the customer journey
• Maintain appropriate levels of employees in all areas of Park operations and ensure the Resort is structured effectively in order to exceed guest service
• Focus on enhancing employee culture and retention
• Oversee and ensure a seamless operation in the Food and Beverage and conference/events space
• Support the General Manager to monitor and manage key business performance indicators
• Monitoring and maintaining a high standard of safety of all guests, visitors and employees
• Proven ability to manage and develop staff of all levels

What you’ll bring 

• You will be able to demonstrate experience in leading or overseeing teams and driving a positive team and guest focused culture
• You will have previous experience as an Operations Manager, Hotel/Resort or Assistant Park Manager, or Head of Department in a large property
• An ability to understand employment awards
• You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational team who are hands on, confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest service
• You walk the talk and can communicate to team members, guests and stakeholders of all levels.
• Previous experience in food and beverage, or events based related management is an absolute bonus

The role is based in our Sydney office, but you will also work closely with the Regional APAC and Global Wise Platform teams based in our offices around the world.
