The Australian Financial Review is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the team and provide support to the AFR Editor and Managing Editor as well as the AFR EA/Office Manager.

Day to day you will: 

• Provide administration support and action requests from the AFR Editor and Managing Editor in a professional, efficient and timely manner
• Support the AFR EA/Office manager
• Exercise discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information 
• Assist on editorial projects as required
• Organise meetings and staff functions (including venues, facilities, catering and resources required), and communicate to all relevant parties ahead of time
• Manage monthly expense reporting for the AFR editor and managing editor
• Assist EA with newsroom expenses and process invoices
• Provide administrative support to the newsroom 
• Arrange travel and accommodation 
• Prepare presentations
• Maintain rosters and diary management
• Monitor AFR inboxes 
• Maintain archives, filing and order stationery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efficient and safe operations of a cold storage facility
• Coordinate inbound and outbound orders
• Ensure all inventory is received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies to management.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
• Schedule and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Train new employees and ensure all employees follow company policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.

• 2-3 years experience operating in a busy warehouse and logistics environment
• Must have a forklift licence and experience using a forklift (essential)
• High Reach experience (advantageous)
• Can supply a copy of a National Police check & able to pass an alcohol or drug test (for more information, read our policy here)
• HACCP Knowledge & working in a frozen/cold environment (advantageous)
• Physically fit and able to stand, repetitively lift more than 15 kg consistently and 20 kg occasionally.

The Sales Operations Coordinator supports with the management of all Sales Operations processes. Tasks will vary from tracking and reconciling retailer bonuses, to ensuring sales programmes are delivering the right results and managed within budget. The Sales Operations Coordinator will also work with 3rd party providers, such as registration authorities and will need to ensure that all system updates are launched efficiently with minimal impact to daily operations for the business.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Responsible for the reconciliation and payment of sales margins, commissions, and bonuses to the retailer network 
• Supports with budget tracking and reporting for the Cost of Retail programme 
• Liaises with local authorities to ensure all vehicle registration systems are working efficiently and any future system updates are planned and launched on time  
• Supports with operational processes including invoicing for retail partners and end customers and any relevant documentation 
• Manages the master data in SAP for the sales team (e.g. updating sales margins/bonuses) 
• Producing and publishing bulletins and communications to the retailer network for the sales team 

What we are looking for:

• Experience supporting a busy sales team (automotive industry preferred however not essential)
• Strong Administration skills
• Previous experience with SAP desired
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to work in a high-growth and fast-paced environment
