MineTech organisation seeking a MineTech Advisory Lead (with a focus on OEM Mobile Assets) Your new company
An international MineTech organisation backed by a global Japanese technology conglomerate is seeking a MineTech Advisory Lead (with a focus on OEM Mobile Assets and Digital Technology). This role will see you work as part of a new R&D Team at this MineTech's Australian HQ in Brisbane in a highly funded start up environment akin to Silicon Valley.
Your new role
Established over 25 years ago and headquartered in North America, this MineTech organisation services the technological needs of mining companies throughout the world. With clients in several continents along with offices in North America and Australia, this organisation is soon to be brought under the umbrella of its parent organisation resulting in a soon to be created Digital Solutions Division.
Whilst having been in operation for several years, this organisation's Brisbane based R&D Team operate in a start up like environment. Currently comprising of nine technical professions (four in Brisbane and five overseas), this team is set to go through rapid expansion over the 12 - 18 months.
Your new role as this teams MineTech Advisory Lead will see you work with this organisation's parent company's OEM dealerships all across Australia who specialise in the manufacture and deployment of mining equipment, assets and vehicles. Working with these sites, you will be this R&D teams public facing professional to educate and train new and existing internal clients on the products this team's developing (a next generation AI & IoT backed mining management system). Not only this, you will also provide feedback to the R&D team based on the internal clients response and technical requirements.
Being the clients primary point of contact and acting as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will advise them on how these technical solutions will be installed, configured and integrated with their existing assets. Not limited to technical support, you will also inform, train, show case and demonstrate the value proposition of this teams' products across Australia.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary such as coordinating implementation projects, providing pricing strategies, demoing solutions during Proof of Value (PoV), regular client liaison to address questions and issues, and provide technical support (both digital and mechanical including escalation to relevant team members) amongst many other duties.
Whilst based in Brisbane, some travel may a requirement. This could vary to include externally to OEM dealerships, client's corporate offices, mine sites etc or internally to this organisations offices in North America, Japan, etc. Regardless of where you will be going, this would be to showcase prototypes, liaise with leadership, witness solutions in situ, etc.
What you'll need to succeed
For this role, you will need experience/knowledge across as much of the following as possible:
Internal Client Liaison and Customer Support
Data analytics and it's associated digital technologies
Working with technical and business stakeholders of all levels
Technical support/engineering in mining and/or OEM domains (such as trucks, excavators, etc) including remote trouble shooting
Mining asset management systems, vehicle fleet control platforms and/or SaaS based systems
Technical Sales and Pre-Sales
Experience working within both a Start Up and a corporate environment highly regarded
Perfect communication skills (written and verbal)
Full Australian working rights
