Job Summary:

The Lead Functional Safety Engineer will lead and execute the functional safety activities for our company's products and systems to ensure our products meet the required safety standards and regulations.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the functional safety lifecycle activities, including hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety requirements specification, design, implementation, verification, and validation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, hardware, software, V&V and quality assurance, to ensure safety requirements are appropriately implemented and validated.
• Conduct safety analyses, such as FMEA, FTA, HAZOP, DFA and FMEDA, to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement functional safety strategies and plans following industry standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
• Develop and maintain functional safety documentation, including safety plans, Safety case reports, and manuals.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to functional safety engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
• Stay current with the latest functional safety standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure our processes and practices remain compliant.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and certification bodies to ensure that our products meet their safety requirements and expectations.
• Participate in safety audits and assessments and drive corrective actions to address any identified gaps or non-conformances.
• Define and improve safety processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our functional safety activities and ensure continuous improvement.
• Support the functional safety manager in carrying out the Confirmation Measures per ISO 26262 (Confirmation Reviews, Safety Audit, and Safety Assessment)
• Be flexible to travel overseas on occasion.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in functional safety engineering
• At least five years of experience in safety-critical automotive systems
• Strong knowledge of functional safety standards, such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508.
• Proven experience conducting safety analyses, such as FMEA, FTA, HAZOP, DFA and FMEDA.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
• Experience with requirement tools - Polarion or DOORs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• The ability to adapt to changing schedules.
• The capability to work independently in an organised and structured fashion
• Certification in functional safety, such as Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) or Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP), is a plus.

Mindera is currently seeking a talented and experienced Tech Lead with a strong background in Node.js development to join our team. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of developers, while also contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of innovative software solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, design scalable architectures, and ensure the quality and performance of the codebase. Elements of Byron is an award-winning Beach front resort, nestled on 50 acres of absolute beach front paradise in Byron Bay. The role of Recruitment Resourcer (Admin Assistant) will support our Talent and Culture Manager who is responsible for Recruitment, Culture and Training at the resort.

This is a full time position working 5 days Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 4.30pm.

You will be responsible for providing administration and some recruitment support to ensure that effective candidate management and communication is maintained with all applicants who are applying for roles at the resort. There is a high volume of candidate calls, email correspondence and diary management, so your ability to manage multiple tasks will see you excel.

This role would suit someone who is extremely organised, has high attention to detail, can juggle multiple tasks and prioritise, while remaining cool under pressure. It is essential that you have worked in a HR or Recruitment environment, but please be aware that this is not a stand alone recruitment role. It would suit someone junior who has an interest in developing their recruitment or HR experience.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Phone screening and shortlisting of candidates using our candidate management system (Workable)
• Adding new employee details to Humanforce and following up on their onboarding progress
• Monitor and respond to telephone and email queries regarding interviews or start date information
• Diary management of Talent and Culture Managers inbox and calendar
• Assisting with the coordinating of recruitment activities including scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, and managing correspondence during the recruitment process
• Schedule learning and development training sessions and update the training calendar
• Co-ordinate administration processes for probation reviews, performance development reviews, employee visas, RSA’s, Drivers Licences, and other licence renewals as required
• Other ad hoc administration assistance as required

• Previous experience in a similar HR or Recruitment support role
• An HR Qualification would be highly regarded but is not essential
• Well presented with excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Well organised with strong attention to detail
• Remain calm, patient and organised in high volume work situations
• Results oriented and ‘can do’ positive attitude
• High level administration and organizational skills
• Display a high energy level
