Your purpose is ensuring our store runs smoothly during your shift. You'll be supporting and guiding team members, handling customer inquiries and working collaboratively as part of the store management team. The specifics? Here's what you’ll be doing:

• Opening and closing the store and supervising shifts
• Offering feedback to the team that's clear, constructive, and inspiring
• Assisting in training and onboarding team members
• Being a customer service superstar and serving customers at the registers with a smile
• Keeping shelves stocked with products so that our customers can find all their favourites
• Keeping a keen lookout for any incidents or hazards to keep everyone safe

• Lead by example to provide efficient, friendly & professional food & beverage service to all guests
• Responsible for managing the front of house operations to ensure we are providing the high quality service to our customers.
• Supervision and support of all lounge areas as required
• Define the organization of work to be performed by the team members, and supervise, co-ordinate and plan daily activities of personnel
• Handle different guest challenges and situations and be part of the first response emergency team.
• Completion of the Daily Running sheet with full communication across all areas of the lounge including Qantas staff
• Reporting of sickness, absence, punctuality, etc. issues to the Lounge and T&C Manager
• Achieve budgets, customer satisfaction targets and other business metrics. 
• Receive and deal with verbal complaints; forward to the Lounge manager when necessary.
• Communicate directly with your front of house team, kitchen team and higher management to provide them with all relevant/ needed information.
• Assist with implement training programs for all employees, conduct induction and skills training
• Maintain and improve quality service in our lounges.  
• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation as prescribed by council / legislative regulations, in accordance with the Lounges and Qantas Food Safety Plan. 
• Make sure that an ACCOR and Brand policies are respected
• Excellent knowledge of the software operation and usage..
• Check discrepancy report and action accordingly.
• Train junior team member and co-ordinate the monthly on the job training for the whole department
• Log and inform your Manager of any system problems & workplace injuries.
• Assisting with protecting and maintaining control of the lounge and bar areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an iconic Australian brand by leading a team of service providers across Sydney Metropolitan area to deliver efficient and quality services to our Members. You will also lead strategic alignment of service delivery operations and further strengthen the Organisational brand through your management.

We have a 3 month full-time secondment/contract opportunity available looking after the Newcastle region.  You will be leading a team of our Roadside Assistance team, which is made up of NRMA employees and contracted staff.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Manage all performance or behavioral issues that arise using coaching, counselling and performance management techniques to resolution
• Ensure alignment of objectives and activity across team
• Supports in Developing and maintaining effective industrial relationship with local Union Representatives
• Support with the operational day to day Service Delivery related activities
• Analyse and monitor financial and commercial information and identify issues or opportunities which impact business priorities
• Acts as first point of contact for all safety incidents and response
• Implement and manage Quality Assurance activities

What you’ll bring

• Experience in managing service delivery operations within various industries
• Demonstrated experience in managing diverse, field based teams especially through change and in providing effective performance feedback 
• Highly developed capability in building and motivating teams and exceptional communication skills
• Skills in negotiation, handling crucial conversations, and facilitating resolution 
• Proven experience of business acumen and front-line implementation of strategic plans
• Ability to foster stakeholder engagement and relationship development
• Obtain a valid NSW Driver’s License for regular local travel
