About this opportunity

We are seeking a Quality Manager to Lead the Quality team and work with other functional areas to ensure products are consistently produced in compliance with marketing authorization and GMP requirements. The Quality Manager is responsible for release to market and for the Quality Assurance Systems of Australian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and is the delegate on the Therapeutic Goods License for Quality Control.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, the company’s business plan and long-term strategy

• Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance Systems.

• Ensure that GMP Agreements are in place with customers, contract manufacturers and laboratories and that appropriate service agreements are in place with all service providers to the business that impacts on Quality.

• Monitor and report on compliance to standards

• Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments through the companies training program

• Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards

• Liaise and co-operate with quality management and standards bodies (e.g. TGA, Government Departments)

• Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards

• Ensure Product Quality Reviews are conducted routinely and are in compliance with regulatory standards for all medicines produced by Australian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.

• Contribute to executive policy and strategy for the business.

• Work closely with purchasing staff in establishing quality requirements for external suppliers

• Work closely with QC and Purchasing to ensure that the Vendor Assurance program for the company is being maintained and is in compliance with all regulatory requirements

• Ensure that all necessary testing is carried out in accordance with pre-determined requirements

• Approve and authorise specifications, sampling instructions, test methods and other Quality Control procedures

Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience:

• A proven track record as a Principal Engineer or a Tech Lead within retail eCommerce ecosystems.
• Comprehensive experience working with modern software engineering practices like CI/CD, automation testing, observability, and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity; a strong ownership mindset, and a desire to thrive on minimal oversight and process.
• A passion for quality and a pragmatic approach, being able to clearly understand and articulate tradeoffs between different solutions.
• Knowledge of best practices around security, threat models, and what represents a good security posture.
• Experience working across frontend and backend systems, with a good understanding of networking and protocols. 
• Excellent software engineering skills in multi-language settings including TypeScript, Kotlin or Java, and Swift.
• Technical Communication: Ability to convey technical concepts in easily understandable language, taking both technical and business stakeholders on a journey.
• Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of eCommerce ecosystems and omnichannel experiences.
• Stakeholder Management: Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders and C-level executives.

Bonus points

• Experience with leading eCommerce technologies such as Commercetools, BigCommerce, Shopify, Fluent Commerce, Fredhopper, and others; as well as Content Management systems like Contenful and ContentStack.

• Exposure to large eCommerce ecosystems in fashion, financial services, gaming, or retail supply chain & logistics.

• Consulting experience, including building work pipelines and generating new business opportunities.

• Proven track record in change management, particularly technology changes that impact people and business operations.

• Experience in streamlining processes to improve business or operational objectives.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunities for L2 Service Desk and Onsite Engineers to join our Melbourne and Sydney Teams! 

The Melbourne role will be based in Abbotsford and will also require travel between customer sites which are both located within Metro and regional VIC as well as phone based support work within our Abbotsford office.

The Sydney role will be based in Alexandria and will also require travel between customer sites which are both located within Metro and regional NSW as well as phone based support work within our Alexandria office. 

The successful candidates will have previous MSP experience and provide Onsite and remote Incident resolution and fulfilment of onsite desktop activities and ensure the smooth operation of IT services for our customers.

Duties include assisting remote resolver teams with activities that require physical presence, creating knowledgebase articles and process documents, reducing the volume of incidents by identifying and eliminating root cause through pro-active problem management process.  

You will also assist the projects team with deployment of new infrastructure (desk and server side) and acting as the key technical representative of bA managed services. Setup new PC’s, phones, and mobile devices as per customers' existing documented processes and carry out the Software installation of preapproved desk side software.  

2+ years of experience working within a Service Desk or Field Services role.  

Basic understanding of IT Infrastructure with some experience including networking technologies such as routers and switches (switching, routing, VLAN, WLAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Radius, VPN).  

2+ years Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and group policy experience  

2+ years experience working with a ticket management system.  

Qualifications

A valid Driver's Licence and your own transport

IT degree or Diploma

Valid Microsoft

VMWare, CISCO and ITIL certification desired but not essential.
