The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer with strong experience to join our growing team and contribute to the development that empowers our organization to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Essential skills & Experience:
Read all the documents and understand what needs to be tested, develop test plans, and follow guidelines set on test planning activities and all responsibilities of test planning.
Check if testing is going hand in hand with the software development in all phases and design automated test scripts that are reusable and develop test plans and follow guidelines set by test plan.
Create test designs, test processes, test cases and test data and updating project & Test managers regularly about the progress of testing activities.
Decide how the software is to be tested and inform the test lead about resources required for software testing.
Develop & prioritize testing activities and perform programming depending upon project or group and designing testing scenarios for usability testing.
Responsible for creating test-product documentation and must participate in testing related walkthroughs.
Strong association with development lead and project managers to ensure effective use of testing practices & techniques.
Responsible for conducting the testing, thereafter, analysing the results and then submitting his observations to the development team.
Interact with the clients to better understand the product requirements or in case the design requires any kind of modifications.
Ensure that all automated testing related activities are carried out as per the standards defined by the company.
Responsible for test planning activities of billing applications relevant to telecom domain.
Strong knowledge in Billing verification, SIM Provisioning, Pricing, Performance and Comparative testing of telecom systems.
Involve in defect triage calls to ensure the fixed SLAs are met.
Prepare the status report of testing activities and responsible for all test deliverables.
Work in close with clients and architects to define and walkthrough test scope.
Prepare high level scope of work to derive cost estimation.
Troubleshoot defects and escalate to right people on time for faster resolution.
Support team in case of any technical assistance is required.
Develop automation scripts for Mobile apps, telecom billing and provisioning testing.
Execute all the test cases and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect and carry out regression testing every time changes are made to the code to fix defects.
Mitigate risk and identify contingency plan for smooth project deliveries and to automate the testing tasks wherever necessary.
Deliver project quality with development teams and prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
Ensure that all test-related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
Provide Test summary report weekly & monthly to the Test Manager, Project Manager & Portfolio Managers for approvals.
Interact with Business teams/Stakeholders for the final test application delivery and to involve in weekly status report and daily status reports on the projects.
Exemplary communication skills with appetite for change and transformation.
Bring-in Service improvement in the existing processes.
Possess strong skills in planning, project management and attention to detail and has excellent problem solving and evaluative judgement skills.
Communicate and co-ordinate people across geographies and among multiple teams to handle team across offshore and onshore.
Manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines and through various stages of development and approval.
Problem solving - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and report issues to the management team; demonstrate appropriate risk-taking and comfort with ambiguity.
