Tasmanian Quality Meats is seeking Skilled Meat Workers to join our team at our Cressy Plant. These positions will be on a permanent, full time basis, 38 hours a week. Applicants must have experience in knife handling and skillsets to suit a variety of slaughtering and lamb boning tasks across our business.

Responsibilities
Eviscerates and trims animal carcasses;
Prepare animal carcasses for further processing by removing internal organs and hides;
Cuts meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones;
Trimming and preparing animal carcasses for the boning room;
Operate switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables;
Operates restrainer and stunning equipment
Stuns and kills livestock;
Slaughter according to religious customs.

Criteria

Ability to work in a cold environment
2 years experience, a minimum
Great attendance, reliability to work
Excellent knife skills and knife handling
Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test.

We have been in the industry for over 20 years, and have recently made significant upgrades to our production areas and also our office facilities. Tasmanian Quality Meats have many positions available that will be responsible for various labouring positions around our boning room, slaughter floor and offal rooms. As the Product Quality Control specialist for Department 13 International Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring that all software, hardware, and support is delivered with excellence for our Drone Detection Systems to our customers.

The role requires having physical access to our systems for testing, training, and development. The role will work very closely with engineering, software, product delivery, research and development, and other departments to ensure quality products are delivered to our client base.

The Product Quality Control specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and documenting testing processes and procedures and defining testing strategies and plans to ensure the product being released is up to industry and company standards. You will also be responsible for establishing a test cycle in accordance with the development schedule set by the Engineering and Project Teams.

The Product Quality Control specialist must also maintain customer facing documentation such as Customer Release Notes, User Manuals, and Installation Guides for all products. This role manages both preventative and corrective action with emphasis on root cause analyses in order to ensure that software/product issues are deterred from recurring once they are resolved.
