Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high quality, timely, evidence-based practice

The role is based in Yackandandah in Victoria and is within easy driving distance from Wodonga and Albury.

The job will suit an experienced and qualified physiotherapist who can deliver proactive allied health interventions to elderly residents of the aged care facility to prevent and reduce the risk of falls injuries and help them become more mobile so that they can continue to engage in meaningful daily living. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to provide pain management treatments and deliver treatments that are designed to restore the elderly residents' physical and functional capabilities following an injury or extended illness.

The successful candidate will also be required to provide physiotherapy treatments to patients living in the local community who will require a range of treatments to address chronic pain conditions and rehabilitation programs to restore them to full functionality after they have suffered an injury.

Specific tasks include:

• Assesses patients’ physical and functional abilities and limitations and develop a customised physiotherapy program to meet the patient’s health and wellness objectives
• Conduct one-one-one and group exercise programs that improve patients’ muscle strength, mobility and conditioning.
• Develop treatment plans to rehabilitate physical and functional impairments resulting from injuries, falls or extended hospital stays.
• Within the aged care facility, conduct post-fall assessments and work with site staff to create falls prevention plans.
• Within the aged care facility, provide staff training such as manual handling training to reduce risks to staff and residents.
• Monitor and re-assess effectiveness of treatments on a regular basis to make any necessary adjustments to treatments and programs

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Physiotherapist at Lift3 Gym and Physiotherapy. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, back and neck pain, and other conditions. The Physiotherapist will provide one on one consultations to develop and implement treatment plans and rehabilitation programs. The role will require working on-site in Tuggerah, NSW, while also working with our Sports Teams at Training and Game Day.

Qualifications


Strong knowledge in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and Sports Injuries
