The Gig
This role aims to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Healthengine employees and to manage the payment of invoices and expenses incurred by Healthengine, in line with purchasing guidelines.
This part-time position offers 30 hours per week, working across 4 or 5 days. We’re open to providing flexibility for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Responsibilities:
Process monthly payroll for up to 80 employees including superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG and salary sacrifice payments
Ensure compliance with relevant Australian laws, regulations and awards related to payroll, taxation, superannuation, and other statutory requirements
Generating payroll reports as required including end-of-year payroll reporting
Provide training and support to employees on payroll-related matters
Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, improve accuracy, and enhance efficiency through automation or process improvements
Maintaining up to date payroll policies and procedures
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
Processing supplier invoices including matching invoices with purchase orders and other documentation and accurately entering data into the accounting system
Initiating payments to vendors and suppliers in accordance with payment terms and purchasing policy
Communicating with suppliers for all accounts payable-related matters
Processing employee expense reports and employee reimbursements
Assist with month-end closing activities
Collaborating with other departments to resolve issues and ensure accurate financial reporting
Identifying opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs through automation or process improvements
Maintaining up-to-date accounts payable policies and procedures
General:
Providing ad-hoc support to members of the Finance and People Teams
Assistance with the preparation of quarterly business activity statements
Assistance with the preparation of the annual fringe benefits tax return
About You

Experience you’ll bring:
Experience managing and processing payroll and accounts payable
2+ years experience in a similar position
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Thorough understanding of GST and its application to invoice processing
Experience with Oracle NetSuite and Infinite Cloud (preferred, though not essential)
