Sodexo is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mine Site Cleaner - Team Lead to join our team on our client's mine site at Stanmore – Poitrel.
This is a full-time position rostered 7 days on 7 days off - 9.5 hours per shift.
We are seeking local applicants doing drive in and drive out from Mackay or surrounding areas.
Who are we looking for?
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will supervise a small size crew, schedule works and audit check to ensure quality and compliance to the highest standards. Your job will involve detailed cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning of kitchen and toilets. You will conduct all duties using appropriate cleaning methods, following cleaning policies and procedures and be able to complete them with in allocate time frames. You will be required to respond in a timely manner to any adhoc cleaning request that require urgent attention.
The team focus will be to clean various rooms, amenities, and offices, collect and dispose of rubbish, maintenance of all cleaning equipment and chemicals and products are used and stored safely.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Current open Driver's Licence is essential
- Supervisory experience within a mine site/village, hotel or resort preferably within a remote site environment
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills and techniques to motivate and manage employees
- Strong work ethic with a focus on providing outstanding service in order to meet contract obligations
- High level of knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace and chemical handling
- Provide prompt and professional service when dealing with all stakeholders
- Excellent customer service and able to drive a high standard within the team to ensure that the services ares carried out to the client’s standards
- Time management skills, you must be be organised and possess a mature and professional approach especially during times of pressure
