We are looking for a Manager, Regulatory Reporting & Treasury to join our Finance, Reporting & Control team.

This role supports the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Control by overseeing the preparation, submission, and accuracy of all regulatory financial reporting across Cuscal. This is a highly visible role in the business and will be responsible for maintaining an effective and robust risk and control culture around Finance’s regulatory and treasury functions. The responsibilities in this role sit across four key areas: 

1) Regulatory Reporting 

• Oversight of the preparation and submission of Group Finance’s APR regulatory reports in accordance with Cuscal’s requirements as an ADI;  

• Responsibility for preparation of internal reporting to support management in assessing the regulatory impact of decision making (e.g. ALCO committee reporting, Board committee papers specific to Prudential requirements); 

• Balance Sheet Management and forecasting as it relates to Regulatory Capital ratios; 

• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the bank’s reporting framework and practices; 

• Collaborate with finance, risk management, and compliance teams to gather and validate data necessary for reporting;  

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the regulatory reporting process and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations; 

• Support the Financial Controller in the delivery of the Group Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Plan (ICAAP) Summary Statement;  

• Identification, measuring and monitoring of limits under Prudential Standards (e.g. APS 110/111 Capital, APS 221/222 exposures); 

2) Financial Analysis 

• Provide analysis to the Finance and Risk teams on regulatory impacts of business decisions;  

• Conduct detailed analyses of regulatory reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement 

3) Financial Control & Treasury 

• Review of daily Treasury control functions (P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, and reconciliations);   

• Production of monthly, half year and year end Board and Board Audit Committee reporting, as it relates to the Regulatory Reporting and Treasury function; 

4) Audit 

• Support audits (APS 310 and Financial/Year-end) and regulatory reviews by providing necessary documentation and explanations;  

• Support the Financial Controller in any APS 310 issues management & resolution;

• Communication with DOS and Sales department to forward all possible leads and feedback from inbound and corporate markets.
• Communication between Front Office and Reservations Office open and reciprocal.
• Develop and supervise new leads, qualify prospective leads as to profitability.
• Alert management to any potential concerns to enable prompt attention.
• Ensure completion of daily duties, eg. Correspondence, filing, reports, etc.

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Risk & Compliance, the QA & Compliance Manager has two main accountabilities namely leading the QA team including ensuring the adequacy of the QA framework, and overseeing compliance across the business.

They will be responsible for providing guidance and support, across the company on compliance related matters. They will ensure we are compliant with our regulatory obligations and AFSL, by ensuring our internal compliance, monitoring & supervision and risk frameworks are in place and being adhered to.

They will also be managing our Third Party Risk Management Framework including contract review, maintenance of the supplier calendar and sanction screening.

This role will also support the team with dispute resolution working with stakeholders across BizCover to ensure fair and timely outcomes for our customers. Day to day responsibilities:

Compliance:

• Implement and promote BizCover’s risk and compliance policies and practices
• Monitor and ensure compliance and QA frameworks are current and adequate
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, review and/or establish a compliance manual including process implementations, insurer compliance along with regular auditing processes
• Provide strategic compliance and risk advice to the business on current business, new proposals or business change
• Manage all legal matters and issues including intellectual property, contracts, binder and partner agreements, employment related issues, policies and any items that require general compliance input
• Compliance sign off on agreements and the management of the supplier calendar (a source of truth of all arrangements with workflow capability)

• Conduct/manage induction training on compliance and QA and review of staff training
• Manage Sanctions screening
• Working with our technology and operations teams to embed compliance frameworks and processes into systems and operational processes including AI implementations
• Internal and external policy end-to-end management (including creation, reviews and reporting)

• Creation and review of call centre scripting and QA scoring across sales, service, claims and retention teams .
• Lead Oversee the QA calibration sessions with the call centre teams
• Provide insights into the performance and risks arising from our operations (technology and call centre).
• Act as the primary point of contact for escalated QA matters, providing guidance, resolution, and ensuring alignment with compliance and quality standards.

About You:

Proven experience in a management role, preferably within aged care, hospitality, or property management
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for working with the senior and veteran community
Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets effectively
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
Ability to handle complex situations with empathy, professionalism, and discretion
Occasional travel as required:to Villages within the region and to our office in St Leonards for meetings/training

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in a similar role
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management, aged care, or a related field an advantage
First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team to support the Corporate Functions to help achieve their financial goals over various time frames.

What this role is about?

The role serves as the principal contact between the Corporate Functions and the central Group Finance function, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment between the two.

Reporting (Month, HY and FY)

• Performance Monitoring: Review and analyse monthly financial activities for the Corporate Functions, including detailed assessments of month-to-date (MTD) and year-to-date (YTD) performance.
• Dashboard Reporting: Prepare and present monthly performance dashboards, highlighting key metrics, trends, and variances. Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and provide actionable insights.
• Accruals & adjustments: Review and approve accruals or adjustments to ensure that financial statements reflect the true economic condition.
• Insights: Provide meaningful insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to drive better business performance.

Decision Support

• Partner the Corporate Functions leadership team with financial decision-making by providing relevant data, analysis, and recommendations.
• Build and maintain financial models, e.g. FTE resource model, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and other ad-hoc financial analytical activities as required.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Unit Finance team. Focus on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and the overall effectiveness of financial processes.

Forecasting & Budgeting

• Review budget/forecast models for the BU, ensuring they reflect all financial aspects including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure driver-based assumptions are signed-off by the BU, and offer insights into the status of budget submissions, highlighting areas of opportunities and risks.
• Provide the Corporate Functions with reporting on forecast submissions, including status against target. Offer analysis and insight to support the forecast, helping stakeholders understand the implications of forecasted results.

Team Lead Functions

• Assist and provide guidance to the Finance Business Partner with day-to-day activities
• Review and provide oversight of the team’s workflow and new initiatives.

Day to day you will:

• Manage campaign set up, technical implementation and optimisation of digital advertising campaigns
• Collectively prioritise campaign launches across your list of dedicated sales teams, ensuring a smooth go live process that is in-line with our Service Level Agreements
