Job Description

As the Manufacturing Manager at our Blacktown Dairy and Beverage site with a highly engaged team of around 30 across 3 shifts, you will own and drive value through the significant levers of safety, people, quality, efficiency, and cost.  

 With your leadership capability to “get things done” safely and effectively, you will uplift capability across the site to ensure and embed a culture of continuous improvement whilst maintaining the highest safety standards.

With a proven ability to inspire, develop and transform a strong tenured team, you will drive operational improvements across the site acting as the catalyst for change.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Demonstrate genuine safety-first leadership, leading by example and ensuring that all Company policies, procedures, and processes are adhered to, understood, and practiced
• Develop front line capabilities, continuous improvement and foster Lean manufacturing practises to achieve high performance
• Setting the overall strategy and standards for best to improve efficiency minimise production downtime
• Manage daily and weekly production schedule for achieving optimum production efficiencies and DIFOT
• Work closely with Quality/Supply Chain and Engineering to optimise production performance and ensuring operational excellence in all areas of production
• Provide leadership, coaching, support, and performance management
• Ensure all ISO, HACCP and GMP standards and practices are achieved.

About this opportunity

The Business Partners role is a newly created position aimed at providing ongoing support to the SM&I teams in the delivery of profitable business growth.

A key focus of this role will be to assist in driving growth initiatives, ensuring resources and the administration of projects are coordinated to optimise the delivery of product and process solutions for Viscount Reuse customers.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Provide support to the Business Manager and the wider SM&I team to assist in the delivery of growth initiatives.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders on the development and delivery of new products aligned to strategic growth.
• Generate and distribute agreed reports 
• Monitor and report actual resin material price movements and communicate as required.
• Assist in identifying and commercialising material solutions aimed at broadening market opportunities (metal detectable, fire retardant, heat resistant, recycled).
• Management of customer contracts, ensuring terms and conditions contained within are reviewed and actioned
• Develop and implement processes that improve the control of labels / RFID’s / dividers from the supplier network. 
• Assist in the management of contracted design and technical resources.
• Establish and foster close working relationships with all members of the NPD cross functional teams.

About the role
Do to a sharp increase in new high end print production products into the South East Team,  we are now currently looking to fill a Field Service Engineer position to join our Victorian branch in the South East Print Production team, providing outstanding service and support to our valuable customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and support of Colour and B&W print production equipment and ancillary products with associated software & services solutions.

As a member of the Victorian Southeast Service Team, you will ensure customer satisfaction through on-site Corrective and Preventative maintenance on customer equipment reporting to the Service Delivery Manager.

Previous experience in the print industry is highly desirable and will be looked upon favourably, although not essential for the right candidate in a similar industry looking to start their career in a hands-on technical role with fantastic learning and development opportunities.

To be qualified for this position, ideally, your background and skills will comprise of the following:

• Your strong technical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and professional approach, as well as a positive attitude in dealing with customers are essential attributes for this role.
• A keen desire to learn and apply new skills will be encouraged in the Konica Minolta environment that fosters continuous employee development.
• Applicants must possess a very strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proven track record of excellent customer service, ensuring you go above and beyond.
