What Will You Do?

As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) at Cadmus, you'll work across multiple codebases with a small team of cross-functional developers to solve various product engineering and architectural design challenges.

You'll apply your front-end skills to build performant, modern front-end applications with functional paradigms in React and Typescript. You will have ownership of our design system libraries, and assist in designing the GraphQL services and API architecture.

You'll also implement the backend GraphQL APIs in Elixir and build other polyglot backend services, while owning the deployment on AWS and other cloud services.

• Full Stack Development: 4+ years of professional experience in full stack software development. You can develop rich front-end applications in React/Typescript. You have written complete backend services in Elixir/Rust/Ruby/Go, with GraphQL and REST APIs. You have built things from zero.
• Strong Judgement: Based on experience and knowledge of the state of the art in software development, you make pragmatic suggestions for improving tooling and abstractions. You are comfortable making judgment calls on tradeoffs and edge cases in the user experience on your own.
• End-to-End Picture: You understand the complete picture of building and deploying SaaS products on AWS Cloud and Google Cloud. You can work with SQL (like PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases and fundamentally understand how the backend and frontend infrastructure/services connect and scale.
• Communication Skills: You have advanced English communication skills, and are equally comfortable talking to with fellow developers and external customers. You communicate nuanced ideas clearly, whether explaining technical decisions in writing or brainstorming in real-time.
• Team Player: You enjoy collaborating cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals and care about learning, growing, and helping others do the same.

• Startup DNA: You’re flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, and have experience scaling systems to support rapid growth. You have been a one-person army when needed, or worked as a founding engineer.

About the Role

The SRE Engineer’s at ROLLER Networks is expected to manage Infrastructure and Operations by configuring, deploying, maintaining and monitoring hardware (virtual) and software that supports ROLLER's business goals, and where needed, offer assistance to the local office as directed by the line manager.

SRE Engineer’s at ROLLER need to demonstrate good leadership and communication skills, be able to problem solve, be self-motivated and be able to contribute to collaborative software projects by architecting system designs and deployment processes. In order to overcome the challenges that ROLLER has as a business, SRE Engineer’s should be able to quickly learn and utilise new technologies and be a source of thought leadership and ideas on how emerging technologies can help ROLLER's business.  

What You’ll Do

• Build, maintain, document, configure, support and monitor production, deployment (Ci/CD) and pre-production environments. 
• Implement and maintain security best practices to adhere to strict compliance requirements with ISO 27001, PCI DSS and GDPR. 
• Develop well-prepared, accurate system and network design documentation
• Implement policies and procedures to weave security through the software development lifecycle
• Technical analysis of alerts and data from security products including (but not limited to) SIEMs, Intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint security solutions, web application firewalls and network security devices, and vulnerability scanning and management systems 
• Vulnerability analysis including triaging vulnerabilities and advising on associated remediation activities.
• Provide emergency support for Critical issues that arise affecting the running of the systems and networks
• Perform assessments of existing network elements and implement design updates as required
• Refining and recommending improvements to infrastructure for the Continuous Integration environment
• Proactively manage deadlines, meetings and communication streams
• Maintain cutting edge relevance in the SRE space (e.g. Cloud-based infrastructure, development best practices, and digital technology) by, for example, attending events, hack-a-thons, reading books, following blogs.
• Maintain ROLLER’s technical accreditation by studying, sitting, and passing relevant certification exams
• Maintaining certification especially AWS Solution Architect

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT Systems or equivalent qualification (or studying towards)

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer in Melbourne. This is a newly created role due to strong organic growth. You will report directly into the Principal and have the backing of a team of over 100 experts nationally. You will be tasked with leading a project delivery team in a bid to achieve client commitments and build client advocacy and confidence.

Specifically:

• Manage and deliver projects from due diligence through to development application, co-ordination of designs and contract administration
• Negotiation with stakeholders (clients, Authorities, other consultants etc) in relation to project deliverables (approvals, applications, contractual matters) to ensure the successful delivery of projects
• Develop relationships with potential clients and improve/maintain existing client relationships
• Assist Principal Engineers with forecasted workloads to meet project deliverables
• Contribute to sustainable profit generation and growth
• Manage commercial risk and demonstrate responsible judgement
• Recruit, manage, train and mentor staff
• Manage financial targets including budgets, profitability etc

About the Role (your why)

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join us as a member of the Technical Services team, you’ll interact directly with clients and other members of the Datacom teams to support technology-based solutions. You’ll be responsible for the support of server infrastructure, within contracted time frames and services level agreements. This support will involve remote assistance over the phone and ad-hoc onsite visits when required and participate in an on-call roster for after-hours support.

Our offices are based in (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!

What you’ll do

At the moment, as Senior Systems Engineer this is an excellent technical opportunity, joining a fantastic team of peers with opportunity to take your career to new heights! You will be part of our extensive Operations business who support each other working collaboratively across locations. You’ll be providing technical maintenance, support services within agreed service levels along with maintaining technical documentation. You will also be using tools and processes to deliver services to customers to ensure their service level agreements are met, proactively managing their infrastructure and driving service process improvement.

We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.

This role requires AU Citizenship and to be able to gain a Baseline/NV1 Clearance.

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role you’ll bring at least 5 years' experience as a System Administrator with Windows Server technologies.

Your technical experience should include:

• MS server operating functions, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, ADFS, DHCP, DFS,
• Failover Clustering
• Hands on experience in the operation of Infrastructure outcomes such as VMware vSphere, VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM), Cisco Unified Computing (UCS), and backup recovery technologies (Backup Exec, Netbackup and CommVault)
  

Your customer focus and communication skills will be a strength along with an ability to develop and maintain productive internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks. We are keen to hear of your problem-solving experience and your understanding of public cloud platforms.
