Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator in our Slabmaking team based in Port Kembla. The Slabmaking Department at Port Kembla is responsible for the conversion of blast furnace iron and steel scrap into molten steel and then casting into slabs. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join the BOS Asset Team within Slabmaking. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive mechanical knowledge to effectively coordinate maintenance activities and improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for maximising uptime performance and maintaining and improving plant condition at minimum cost, whilst ensuring zero harm (safety and environment).

In this business-critical role, you will coordinate and execute routine maintenance work and attend to plant mechanical challenges, while also coordinating trade personnel and contractors to deliver a cost-effective, quality focused and flexible maintenance function to the BOS

Your purpose is ensuring our store runs smoothly during your shift. You'll be supporting and guiding team members, handling customer inquiries and working collaboratively as part of the store management team. All the while, you'll be honing your leadership skills and truly making a difference for your team and our customers.

The specifics? Here's what you’ll be doing:

• Opening and closing the store and supervising shifts
• Offering feedback to the team that's clear, constructive, and inspiring
• Assisting in training and onboarding team members
• Being a customer service superstar and serving customers at the registers with a smile
• Keeping shelves stocked with products so that our customers can find all their favourites
• Keeping a keen lookout for any incidents or hazards to keep everyone safe
