• Responsible for developing supply chain end to end planning competency with a focus on process thinking, people leadership and department management
• Determine, implement and monitor purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans
• Prepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost
• Ensure optimal supply timing, minimizing processing errors and preventing end-of-line delivery issues
• Identify alternative of logistic & 3/4PL providers
• Monitor distribution expenses on regular basis
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements
• Monitor and review storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels
• Manage supplier’s relationship onboarding vendor process, contracts negotiation and certifications to meet quality requirements
• Liaise with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation
• Analyse and prepare stock reports i.e. stock on hand, short expiry, slow movers, estimations of back in stock items
• Customer Relationship Management with Logistics associates at Distributors and Freight forwarding agents
• Lead stock review meetings and reviewing sales forecasts
• Review and develop processes and procedures that will continually improve all supply and distribution functions and stock control at minimum cost
• Create an environment of shared leadership, promote people strategies, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
