They are looking for an individual giving officer to join their exciting team as they begin to expand the Marketing and fundraising division. Your new role
The Individual Giving Officer is responsible for project managing existing and new fundraising campaigns, namely, direct mail appeals from inception to implementation. This includes managing external relationships with fundraising agencies and suppliers, fulfilment, data selection and reporting. The Individual Giving Officer will drive the individual giving budget, analyse, track, report, and measure campaign success and return on investment to maximise growth opportunities and drive income generation from new and existing donors. In addition, the Individual Giving Officer will develop donor journeys for each donor segment and implement a robust donor care program to service newly acquired and existing donors.
Key experience:
At least 5 years of NFP fundraising experience, most of it in donor development and campaign execution
Ability to plan and draft donor journeys
Experience in managing creative agencies and Mailhouse
Ability to manage appeals processes end to end
Experience in growing and managing a regular giving program
Digital channel fundraising experience
Key skills:
Organisational skills and attention to detail
Creative copywriting and/or design experience will be very useful.
Ability to have input in budget and projections
CRMs and Microsoft Office, collaboration tools
Above average communication skills, both written and verbal
A strong focus will be on increasing donor retention.
Major responsibilities:
1. Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to be an innovative, high-achieving fundraising team that delivers results in a creative and supportive working environment. 2. Contribute to the achievement of annual income & expenditure targets for the Individual Giving program. 3. Work with direct Manager to develop and deliver annual strategic plans for donor acquisition, engagement, retention, upgrade and follow-up strategies through direct mail and other income-generating and lead generation activities 4. Help develop and then manage annual operating budget for individual giving (including monthly & quarterly reporting as well as forecasting) 5. Project manage a range of direct marketing campaigns for mail, eDM, telephone, regular giving acquisition, upgrade and conversion appeals, including creating and delivering a schedule of appeals, donor communications and targeted campaigns across a variety of channels to ensure the ongoing support of active cash and regular donors. 6. Track campaign timelines, budgets and performance, ensuring all stakeholders deliver to scheduled timelines and campaign goals. 7. Work with manager to develop a strategy for acquiring new donors 8. Work with manager to increase donor retention rates Essential: 1. Relevant degree or qualification in fundraising/communications/marketing or related field 2. 5+ years experience in a similar role 3. proven success in developing fundraising direct marketing campaigns from inception to implementation 4. strong track record in campaign management 5. strong financial management experience specifically in budget development, monitoring and forecasting 6. experience in developing & mapping out donor journeys and implementing strategies resulting in increased retention rates and upgrades 7. understanding of digital communication and marketing to support integrated fundraising campaigns 8. sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, current trends and best practice What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to
