CSA is looking for a Community Liaison Officer to work in our Sydney office. The ideal candidate will have the right attitude, knowledge, experience, and skills to be part of their team that drives strategy implementation across all business operations.
Position Summary
The Community Liaison Officer is a critical link between Care Services Australia and the community. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders, facilitating communication, and ensuring that company strategy plans are understood, addressed and met.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication
• Serve as the primary point of contact for community enquiries and concerns.
• Develop and distribute informational materials to promote the organisation’s initiatives and programs.
• Establish and maintain positive and productive partnerships with various internal and external stakeholders, healthcare providers, and volunteers to identify, foster and deliver high-quality program activities that contribute to company goals.
• Liaise with consumers and stakeholders to gather feedback on provided services, utilise and share information, ensure quality Care Services Australia service delivery and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Promote Care Services Australia internally and externally using methods agreed upon with the CEO and aligned with its communications and marketing plan.
• Ensure the activities facilitated by internal and external providers on behalf of Care Services Australia are delivered per industry standards and requirements.
Relationship Management
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
• Build positive relationships with community groups, local organisations, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with health and community networks to grow and develop strong relationships for referral networks.
• Act as a representative of the organisation at community events.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business enquiries and collaboration opportunities.
Community Engagement
• Organise and facilitate community meetings, forums, and outreach events.
• Manage events onsite and in the community.
• Gather feedback from community members to inform the organisation’s strategies.
• Effectively communicate organisational goals, programs, and initiatives to community partners.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders.
Program Development
• Collaborate with internal departments to design programs that meet community needs.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives.
Collaboration
• Work closely with internal teams to understand business requirements and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate on joint projects, initiatives, and events with business partners.
Market Analysis
• Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
Problem-Solving
• Address and resolve issues that arise in business relationships.
• Facilitate discussions between parties to negotiate solutions.
Advocacy
• Advocate for community interests within the organisation.
• Identify and address barriers to community participation and engagement.
Reporting
• Prepare reports on community engagement activities and outcomes.
• Analyse trends and feedback to recommend improvements.
• Track and report on partnership performance and outcomes.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and feedback.
About You
To undertake this position, you will have experience managing relationships and partnerships in the
network. Furthermore, you will possess strong presentation skills and excellent public speaking skills.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, communication, public relations, or a related field.
• Proven 4 years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and the ability to engage diverse populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities.
• A plus is proficiency in MS Office Suite and community engagement software experience.
