The Lumus Imaging team at Werribee public hospital is growing!
Werribee Mercy Hospital, located just 25 km west of Melbourne on the Princes Highway, is a dynamic public general hospital offering a wide range of services, including surgical, maternity, orthopaedic, and a 24-hour emergency department. Since opening in January 1994, the hospital has grown rapidly to meet the needs of Melbourne’s fast-growing western suburbs. A new emergency department is currently underway with a view to have it completed late 2026, The expansion will increase treatment spaces from 33 to 67. This includes four new resuscitation bays, 16 short stay beds and 36 emergency care cubicles to care for a rapidly growing population.
We are currently seeking a Sonographer to support the team at Werribee. Our new public hospital provides a dynamic environment where you'll be supported by an incredibly dedicated and collaborative team, led by flexible and supportive management working across operation theatres, a newly build emergency department and ICU.
This position is offered on a Full-Time or part time basis. Working Monday to Friday from 8 am – 5pm with on-call shift work and weekend shifts.

To be successful in this role:
- Qualified Sonographer with ASAR Accreditation
- Competent with general US exams, obstetrics and MSK
- Paediatric ultrasound would be desirable but not mandatory
- We also welcome dual qualified Sonographer/Radiographer candidates and can support their development.
