The position:
As Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational matters of the social care program at their facility. The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator works in conjunction with the General Manager to provide and direct social care programs which are responsive, enriching and reflective of resident needs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the efficient delivery and continual review of resident focused therapy, social and recreational activities.
• Lead and organise the social care staff and volunteers and ensure they are aware of their policy, legislative and other relevant compliance obligations.
• Foster and promote social connectedness and actively engage and liaise with the local community, community groups, schools and sporting organisations.
• Facilitate resident meetings and encourage participation in planning and program development.
• Maintain social care inventory and other resources. Control stock and undertake periodic audits as required.
• Maintain appropriate clinical records, statistics and register of programs and attendance.
• Contribute to facility management meetings and assist with strategic social care planning.
• Participate in relevant professional development and mandatory training as required.
• Implement a vibrant and integrated volunteer program which ensures community engagement and encourages resident participation.
• Ensure that social care expenditure is in accordance with approved budget.

Essential:

• Certificate IV Qualification in Leisure and Lifestyle or similar discipline.
• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
• Current Drivers License.
• Proficient computer systems and information management skills.
• First Aid Certificate.

The Maintenance Services Assistant is responsible for implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating an efficient and effective preventative and corrective maintenance program for buildings, equipment, and grounds at their residential aged care home and/or retirement village.

Key Duties:

• Ensure buildings and public areas, including grounds, are maintained to a safe, high-quality standard.
• Perform general maintenance tasks ensuring that facilities are safe, to standard and in good working order.
• Perform garden maintenance tasks ensuring garden beds, pathways and outdoor seating areas are safe, clean and free from debris, and that plants are watered.
• Maintain records of the maintenance and gardening programs.
• Ensure adequate stock items for regular corrective maintenance and gardening tasks.
• Assist in the maintenance of an accurate and up to date asset register.
• Contribute to refurbishment, equipment replacement and capital works planning.
• Identify preventative maintenance requirements and document a schedule for same.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and corrective action according to legal requirements and documented schedule, including requirements for essential services.
• Oversee external contract agreements, as required.
• Ensure vehicles at the facility are kept clean and tidy and are serviced in accordance with the service maintenance schedule.
• Perform on-call service (where applicable) when not on duty as directed by Respect.
• Any other task not defined but within the employees' skills, as directed by Respect.

We are seeking 15 Personal Care Assistants to join our team at our Alcheringa aged care home, located at 2-14 Boree Dr SWAN HILL VIC 3585.

Each candidate will be engaged on a full-time basis (38 hours per week); however, we would consider part-time (a minimum of 30 hours per week) if that were the candidate’s preference.

The proposed commencement date for each successful candidate would be approximately May/ July 2024.

The successful candidates will join our dynamic and supportive care team and will provide competent personal care, support and assistance to our residents under the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team.

Key duties and responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living and lifestyle in accordance with an individual’s care plan, attending to care duties as allocated and/or delegated by the Registered or Enrolled Nurse, assisting with meal delivery and refreshments, and recording observations on relevant assessment charts and documenting an individual’s progress notes.

The successful candidates will have:
