Veterinary Administrator | Dermatology for Animals | Full Time Position

Established in 1998, Dermatology for Animals provides the veterinary dermatology service within the majority of specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary hospitals in Queensland, as well as providing dermatology referral services to regional centres in Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales. We are now looking for additional veterinary administrators to join our wonderful team of highly skilled veterinarians, nurses, and dedicated administration staff in south-east Queensland. This position is based in our main office in Stafford on the northside of Brisbane.

Your role as Veterinary Administrator in our practice involves being the primary telephone and email contact for referring vets and clients.

You will need to be self-motivated and enthusiastic, an excellent communicator who understands that first impressions count! Duties include scheduling appointments and using our practice management software, providing brief explanations of our services to clients, taking payments, email management, and liaising with our veterinarians and nurses about the services we provide.

Our initial training program will arm you with an understanding of what it is we do and where we fit into the veterinary ecosystem. Veterinary dermatology is unique amongst referral disciplines in fostering long-term relationships with clients and patients. It’s less about fixing our patients and sending them on their way, and more about managing their issues so that they and their owners can live their best lives. Veterinary Nurse | Dermatology for Animals | Part Time & Full Time Positions

We are now looking for Part-time and Full-time veterinary nurses to join our expanding team of veterinarians, nurses and administrators in south-east Queensland.

We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced nurse, who wants to excel in providing first rate nursing care, and who is capable across the broad range of skills that encompass veterinary nursing in a dermatological environment. This not only involves utilising patient nursing skills, but also learning about new techniques, becoming competent in dermatological diagnostics, and communicating with clients both in person, by phone and by email.

Veterinary dermatology is unique amongst referral disciplines in fostering long-term relationships with clients and patients. It’s less about fixing our patients and sending them on their way, and more about managing their issues so that they and their owners can live their best lives. It’s also unique in that dermatology rarely presents with genuine emergencies, and this allows us all to have an enviable work-life balance.

In this role you will have the opportunity to travel across metropolitan and regional Queensland, providing dermatology referral services within specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary hospitals.

• A clean driving licence as travel to various centres in south-east Queensland is required
