We are looking for a creative marketing coordinator to join our Sales and Marketing team in a part-time capacity. This position is responsible for enhancing and supporting the production and delivery of tactical marketing campaign strategies for the hotel, including digital and online marketing to maximise the profile and profitability of the hotel. This is to be achieved through traditional media, direct e-mail marketing, web site content management, partnering with/ linking to key partner web sites, Public Relations, promotional partnerships and social media.

What you will be responsible for:

•  Delivering orders on a multi drop run

• Assessing the safety and suitability of a load before leaving site

• Ensuring load is restrained correctly before leaving base and every stop after that

• Identifying incorrect/non confirming items loaded

• Providing excellent customer service to our customers

• 5am start with regular overtime
• Valid HC licence
• Experience with securing loads with straps and chains to meet current load restraint regulations
• Previous steel industry experience (desired but not essential)

Key duties include:

HR Strategy & Administration

• Set and manage the implementation of the P&C strategy for Australia
• Collaborate with our global offices to ensure alignment and knowledge-sharing
• First point of contact for all HR-related queries
• Administer personnel documentation, ensuring that all filing systems are up to date including offer letters, contracts, right to work and benefits information
• Conduct exit interviews and compile and consolidate data

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

• Execute the strategy for recruitment and selection
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, talent pooling, strategic sourcing, selection, contract generation and induction
• Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires
• Develop creative strategies to build our employer brand 
• Develop and manage Internships programs

Culture Leadership

• Nurture and enhance our unique workplace culture, ensuring it remains vibrant, inclusive, and aligned with our values
• Be the driving force behind initiatives that promote employee engagement and satisfaction, developing initiatives to foster company culture, enhance working relationships, and foster collaboration and team spirit e.g. team building activities, mentoring and buddy programs
  

Training & Development

• Work closely with department heads to identify training and development needs.
• Implement programs that support professional growth and skill enhancement, fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Develop and maintain We Are Social’s training calendar, including both technical training, knowledge-sharing sessions, and soft skill training 

Performance Management

• Support department heads to implement performance management process
• Provide guidance on goal setting, feedback, and career development, contributing to a high-performance culture
• Provide HR support around performance management issues
• Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, handling confidential matters with sensitivity and diplomacy
• Proactively address any concerns and maintain a positive work environment

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 to 4 days/week availability. Hours can be spread across the week as required.
• Masters degree in HR, business or similar 
• At least 4 years experience in HR or People & Culture Manager or similar role in a fast-paced and creative environment.
• In-depth knowledge of AES/Australian HR policies and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cultural initiatives and engage employees.
• Experience in talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
• Understanding of performance management and employee development strategies.
• Passion for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
• Australian working rights and currently located in Sydney

The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dual role as our Meeting, Events and Reservations Coordinator.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work. You will spend approx. 3 days in Reservations and 2 days in Conference & Events (with flexibility to switch it up depending on business demands).

Reporting to the Meeting & Events Sales Executive and Reservations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Coordination of final details for events handed over once the client contracts
• Taking final pre-payment
• Compiling event orders and running event order meetings
• Any admin related to events
• Posting charges
• Meeting and greeting clients whilst they are on site
• Sending out proposals and contracts
• Create Group Masters and update group information as it is received eg, rooming lists, arrival details and meals.
• Follow up information if not received.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure group requirements and special requirements are actioned.
• Ensuring all deposits are received prior to arrival and all invoicing is complete in a timely manner.
• Cross check accounts and finalise or send final accounts.
• Send 90/60/30 reminders to clients as needed.
• Constantly monitor all group reservations. Liaise with clients, input details into reservations system, release extra rooms and distribute information to other departments.
