Your ability to work with other members of the client management team to develop and deliver quality solutions for our customer is critical to the success of our service.

As part of the role you will provide quality customer service enhancements in optimising the SAM Service, planning the service implementation, championing the delivery of the service and processes, and verification and continued maintenance of the SAM Service.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will work collaboratively with other Software Asset Management (SAM) team members, Software Licensing Consultants, and Service Delivery Managers. Essentially, the Software Asset Manager will:

• Manage the relationship with key Customer stakeholders and Datacom Managed Services.
• Act as SAM Subject Matter Expert for the account.
• Ensure effective and smooth delivery of our customer’s SAM services.
• Contribute to the achievement of the outcomes of the contract.
• Delivery and support the Business Development Process.
• Ensure that SAM plans, processes and procedures are delivered incorporating good practise methodologies, accurately documented, successfully implemented, appropriately communicated to customer’s stakeholders, and provide continuous SAM Improvement with our services for our customers.
• You are a key contributor to the management of the Software Asset Lifecycle for our customer. This includes identifying the software inventory, capturing license entitlements, performing ongoing software compliance checks, and remediation as appropriate.
• Manage, maintain, and facilitate the renewal of software maintenance by validating the renewal details to ensure the information is correct and valid and also update the Software Asset Register/Technology with the new licensing details.
• Facilitate software procurement for the account including the tasks of retrieving quotes from software vendors or Datacom’s internal procurement team, approval from the business and facilitating the procurement and associated software lifecycle tasks.
• Review current software Terms and Conditions, License Agreements, and License Contracts to ensure that the account is not exposed to any breaches or risks.
• Provide quality customer service through adherence to Datacom’s Asset Management service delivery methodology and processes.
• Experience in using SAM technologies and their capabilities, in particular, Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite and/or Snow License Manager. You will be responsible for monitoring the health of the SAM technology and will proactively work with technical teams to ensure the technology is maintained to acceptable standards.
• Experience with ITSM tools like Cherwell or Service Now will be advantageous.
• Interpret data outputs from the SAM technologies and other tools to provide accurate and timely reporting.
• Be able to follow documented procedures to support the deliver of consistent services.
• Perform license reclamation activity and record cost avoidance.
• Propose remediation and optimisation activities that may result in reduced compliance risk and/or financial savings and cost avoidance.
• Liaise with service management, and customer teams to define, optimise, and develop SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans and controls to ensure appropriate service asset information is recorded and maintained.
• Work collaboratively with a larger SAM team in delivering SAM Services as well as autonomously within your dedicated account.

You must hold Australian Citizenship as a Baseline Security Clearance is required, and it will be advantageous if you already have one.

The Team

The End User Compute team consists of deployed engineers to customer sites and roaming technicians. The team have a strong technical background and can sufficiently handle most technical requests that an end user may log. Success is measured by customer feedback and leading indicators of support health including the age of open tickets.

The Role

As Customer Experience Engineer you will provide end user support for all technology issues and request that are escalated by the customer service analysts. You will ensure customer service agreements are met and provide a single point of contact for ownership of escalated requests and issues. The role will be based in our Sydney office and at our main client’s office in Port Botany, NSW.

About the Role

The Administration Officer is a newly created position that will report to the Head of Operations (HoO). This position will be responsible for managing the office facilities and co-owners’ management including strata committee commitments and responsibilities. The required skills that we’re after:

• Deep experience with SQL
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Understanding of benefits and trade-offs between analytical and transactional databases
• Experience with one or more data warehouses, e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Greenplum, Teradata.
• Experience with query performance optimisation.
• Understanding of benefits between modelling techniques, e.g. star schema, dimensional, denormalised.
• Programming experience.

The skills that we would love for you to have but that aren’t essential:

• Experience with orchestration of production data transformations, e.g. with tooling like Airflow
• Understanding of modern data formats, e.g. Parquet, Avro
• Experience with data validation and data quality techniques
• Experience with software development lifecycle tooling, e.g. git
• Experience with building data projects in DBT
• Development experience with languages such as python, spark

The Ecosystems Domain within Sinch MessageMedia aims to ensure that businesses can foster relationships with their customer base in their existing flow of work through simple and logical cross-platform integrations. This role sits within a distributed team between Melbourne and Auckland spearheading the creation of new systems to broaden the integration capacity of our messaging platforms. The team builds and runs all their own software and aims to abstract away commonalities to create a robust and consistent user experience. In this role, you will own your build from implementation design to testing and release, and look after post-release through the tracking of metrics such as error rates, server load and response times. Using these metrics and through an understanding of the product and the businesses that use it, you will work to improve the software and our customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop high performing solutions that scale in production environments.
• Design solution options and present these to your team.
• Review pull-requests and provide constrictive feedback.
• Work in a scrum team and contribute to breaking down cards in grooming, understand your velocity in planning and provide feedback in retrospectives.
• Understand our customers’ usage and requirements of our software.
• Work with AWS and other cloud services to build, deploy and manage projects currently in production.
• Help associate engineers improve their skills and knowledge.
• Assist in incident support and help the team resolve issues in production environments, joining the paid on-call roster to ensure out-of-hours remediation.

The successful candidate will have proven ability to develop good quality code that has high levels of test coverage. Programmatically configure cloud infrastructure and deploy services to staging and production environments. You are a good communicator and are able to address the issues that can occur through asynchronous dialogue or remote team members. You understand the software development life cycle and the Sinch MessageMedia processes that accompany it. You understand that being an engineer isn't just lines of code written. Solution options, planning, documentation, monitoring, automation and incident management are all part of the role. You have proven experience in Java with a sound understanding of NodeJS & Typescript ecosystems and exposure to front end technologies such as ReactJS.
