About the role

About the Role

This role will be providing key packaging services to one of our largest customers. As part of a broader team, you will be responding to contracted and project requests.

What you will do

As an Applications Packager you will:

• Software packaging and repackaging. This will cover from discovery through to deployment support
• Package based on BAU tickets as well as project
• Participate in project planning sessions and project delivery
• Prepare documentation for use by Operational staff

• Leverage enterprise grade tools, processes, and frameworks to deliver high quality services and outcomes to Datacom customers in accordance with SLAs

What you’ll bring

You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar Application Packaging role. You will have exceptional knowledge of packaging tools, InstallShield, PACE etc. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11 and MacOS operating systems. You will have knowledgeable skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE and Jamf.

You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.

The Venture Builders will be the main liaison point between the entrepreneurs, innovators and ventures, and the broader Drought Venture Studio. They will be paired with and mentor a small group of innovators as well as contributing to the knowledge, structure, approach and events of the broader commercialisation program. 

As a Venture Builder you will be an integral part of your local Drought and Innovation Hub, collaborating with a team of 8 peers across Australia. In the role, you will: 

• Collaborate with the other Venture Builders, and the Head of Ventures to deliver commercialisation support, coaching and mentoring to each cohort of innovators 
• Guide innovators through building a commercialisation plan and supporting the innovators towards effective business, market and customer development; this may include go-to market plans, and trial support

We are hiring a Studio Operations Lead that will join the Beanstalk Ventures team. They will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of venture studio programs launched under Beanstalk Ventures. The first landmark studio program is the Drought Venture Studio. You will be working closely with the Studio Director and Head of Ventures and leveraging the programmatic knowledge of the Beanstalk Advisory team to ensure the Drought Venture Studio runs like a well-oiled machine.  

You will be leading the design and operation of the Drought Venture Studio’s internal operating system. This is not a copy and paste, we are looking for a leader who we can entrust to really take the reins and own the creation a high-performance workflow to underpin the world-first Drought Venture Studio.  

In this role, you will: 

• Build the operational workflow for key activities including (but not limited to): 

1. Internal communications 
2. Application and selection processes 
3. Onboarding and orientation of the Venture Builders 
4. Reviewing and support with refining the accelerator and venture program

Essential

1.      Digital content creation and delivery: Experience in creating engaging content in a variety of formats for a range of channels, including web, social, email. Experience of developing and delivering successful multi-channel content campaigns.

Product Management

• Step into the role as a category expert with a deep understanding of the upholstery furniture industry.
• Take ownership of the timeline by influencing key stakeholders across teams throughout the development cycle to ensure all products remain on track, to brief and on time.
• Influence senior stakeholders for sign-off on new products to go into production.
• Lead and/or contribute to projects on behalf of Koala US.
• Coordinate all aspects of product samples and ensure adherence to sample budgets, arrange supplier payments, and coordinate sample shipping. 

Driving Profit

• Responsible for the profitability of the category through new product cost negotiation and ongoing cost of goods management of in market products.
• Influence key stakeholders in commercial decisions that maximize the profitability for all products.

Supplier Management

• Develop a deep understanding of your supplier’s capabilities (e.g. materials, costs, lead times), to ensure alignment with current and future business needs.
• Be accountable for professional and long term relationships with suppliers.
• Lead the supplier negotiations on commercial agreement, trading terms, rebates and payment terms.
• Manage the relationships and lead the negotiations with existing and new licensing and certification partners.
• Work alongside the QC team with regards managing supplier due diligence and product quality expectations.

Ideal background…

• Degree qualified in product management, business or other relevant qualification.
• Good knowledge and understanding of upholstery furniture manufacturing and logistics and the cost-drivers connected to that. 
• Solution oriented and strong business acumen with the ability to work on a strategic level as well as sustaining excellence in daily operations.
• The drive and energy to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to take and execute decisions, with a solid sense of accountability and initiative.
• High-level attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and in a simple way.
• Experience in the US market is preferred.

About the Beanstalk Drought Venture Studio:

This world first partnership between the Commonwealth - through its Future Drought Fund - and Beanstalk AgTech will identify problems from the ground up and develop and fund solutions through practical commercialisation. Beanstalk will work with the eight Drought Innovation Hubs across Australia and industry to enable the creation of new startups and technological innovation in response to drought.  

The program’s mission is to support nearly 100 commercial solutions, and to back 8 high growth ventures over the next 2 years, positioning Australia as a global leader on drought and climate solutions to agricultural resilience. 

About the Role: 

We are hiring a Lead Venture Architect to join the Beanstalk Ventures team on a fixed term contract, estimated to start in June 2024. You will work with the newly appointed Head of Ventures as 2IC to establish a clear strategy for delivering commercialisation support to innovators across the Drought Venture Studio.  

In this role, you will support the Head of Ventures in managing the Drought Venture Studio. Over the course of 1.5 years, there will be 8 shortlisted entrepreneurs who will require bespoke venture support. You will work closely with these innovators with the support of select Venture Builders to ensure the success and commercialisation of these 8 opportunities.   

As Lead Venture Architect, you will get your boots and strategic brain dirty, jumping into the trenches to support the most promising drought resilience innovation technology solutions that we identify. You will work directly with the venture founder to place a dedicated CXO and be responsible for building high performing startup teams through coaching, mentoring and supporting the leadership team.  

You will also deploy your startup skills and knowledge across a range of impact-focused opportunities. In this role, you will: 

• Be the Head of Venture’s 2IC; responsible for managing the CXOs that are appointed into the ventures participating in the Venture Studio and supporting the execution of commercialisation plans for each venture 
• Enable business model development in each Venture; including guiding the vision, strategy, value proposition, partnerships and goals of each venture 
• Leverage your understanding of lean startup methodology, human-centred design, design thinking or similar to enable improved business and MVP development 
• Coach and mentor the leadership of each Venture, including identification and placement of new CXOs into existing ventures 
• Implement a robust system for evaluating the progress of Ventures within the Venture Studio; establish KPIs to measure the success and impact of each venture, facilitating data-driven decision-making 
• Collaborate with the Venture Builders placed at each Hub to support commercial outcomes 
• Outline key team roles and responsibilities within the Venture Studio and Ventures participating; this may require you to step in as a temporary CXO for some of the ventures 
• Support Ventures to seek funding through VC investment, grants, corporate collaborations etc including introductions, pitch training and financial modelling 
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by staying updated on the latest advancements in startup methodologies, entrepreneurship, and industry-specific technologies
