About Your Role
This Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high-quality care to patients/ clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District in order to support management of their health needs and to promote wellness.
The Level 1/2 Speech Pathologist will provide a comprehensive Speech Pathology service, according to relevant models of care and priorities, with the support and direction of both line-manager and clinical supervisor.
This is a mixed clinical caseload position that will be working as a sole practitioner in Speech Pathology as part of a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary allied health team in Leeton Health Service.
The generalist caseload provides services in both adult and paediatric areas and includes community outpatients, inpatient services and close by outreach services to Narrandera. You will be provided with support and supervision organised in a formal arrangement within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District as well as working as part of a passionate and supportive Speech Pathology network across the district.
There are opportunities for clinical shadowing visits with other MLHD sites for support and supervision. We are looking for a motivated and flexible speech pathologist who demonstrates a commitment to positive outcomes for clients, enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to engage in ongoing professional learning and development.
This position is eligible for the Sole Practitioner Allowance as per the Health Professionals Award.
