The Team

We're on a mission to double the lifespan of our pets, and we need you to help discover the way as the Associate Product Manager - Research in our Research and Development Team.

Aid in developing our research strategy and pipeline to meet business goals, centring on our key thematic priorities:

This includes cost modelling and spearheading the studies' execution, while seamlessly collaborating with external stakeholders such as universities, industrial partners, and customers. 
• Manage active studies: Supervise active research projects, ensuring they progress effectively and align with our investigative objectives. 
• Analytical excellence: Engage in the analysis and synthesis of research results, transforming raw data into actionable insights and coherent findings. 
• Scholarly support: Assist in drafting papers that elucidate research outcomes and white papers that reinforce our perspectives and beliefs. 
• Grant applications: Identify, apply for, and win grants to support our research initiatives. 
• Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with key stakeholders: Dr. Matt, our co-founding vet to ensure that research initiatives align with product development; Data & Analytics to leverage insights and analyse studies; Customer Care for participant recruitment; and Marketing and Partnerships to showcase studies insight which demonstrate Lyka's value. 
• Research synthesis: Keep a keen eye on the latest advancements and studies outside of Lyka. Distil and integrate these findings into tangible insights, aiding in product development and work to underscore the value of a whole food diet in canine health and nutrition.

• Experienced: You have 2-3 years experience in a top-tier management consultancy, high growth start-up or similar.

About the role:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Focused on the conversion of inbound and self-sourced leads
• Constantly on the lookout for new revenue opportunities, networking and strategic partnerships

The Role:

Like to hustle? Ambitious and proactive? We’re looking for the right person to join the entrepreneurial teams which comprise Twinkl’s core customer segments. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development and growth of our Australia Speech Pathologist (Speech and Language Therapists) community.

You'll start as a solo marketeer, connecting with customers directly via a variety of different communication channels to highlight and demonstrate the benefits of Twinkl's Australia speech and language products and resources. You'll be moving into this position as a team of one with the support of many, so you’ll need to take a rapid iterative approach, employing different marketing and business development techniques to get the message out to customers. You'll be the person responsible for defining, building and managing the right team to support user growth within the Australia Speech Pathologist/Speech and Language customer segment. You will be commercially minded and comfortable in making decisions on where to pursue opportunities. You will be responsible for reporting monthly and quarterly in line with business expectations.

This is a very varied role that involves both proactive strategic planning and reactive work as you pivot and respond to the demands of your growing market.

A typical week could involve any of the following:

• Showing tenacity and drive, and going above and beyond to reach new customers and build your segment.
• Engaging with customers within the Speech Pathologist/Speech and Language market and working alongside the Inclusive Education Segment Manager in Australia and UK Product Owners to develop plans for potential development and direction of speech and language resources.
• Sales and marketing: spreading the word to new customers, whom we can help and support! Managing our Speech Pathologist's social media activity and making sure the right messages reach our customers at the right time.
• Digital optimisation – looking at the overall user experience of the Australia Speech Pathologist/Speech and Language area of the Twinkl site and working with our web and design teams to continuously improve this.
• Business management and strategy – putting plans in place to help achieve our ambitious growth targets. Working with other Segment and Country Managers to understand what’s working and how we can improve.

You’ll work with:

• Rebecca Usherwood - Head of APAC and Country Manager for Australia
• Julia Baker - Australian Marketing Manager, will be your line manager and mentor.
• The Australia Segment Managers team
• The UK SEND and EAL Segment Managers
• The Inclusion product team

To succeed in the role, you will:

• A strong entrepreneurial mindset and a propensity for action.
• Thorough knowledge of the Australian Speech Pathologist/Speech and Language market, and of our customers.
• Have relevant and recent professional qualifications and teaching experience; Undergraduate, Postgraduate or Masters degree in primary education or appropriate equivalent degree;
