The Group Finance team provides financial support, insights and advice to the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board including the Group Results presentation and Annual report. We support the Group’s strategy of building tomorrow’s bank today for our customers, through a focus on three key priorities of trust, resilience and capital generation.
Functions include:
- Finance Data Provisioning & Enrichment
- Group Treasury Finance
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Group Tax
- Program Management Office and Investment Oversight
- Capital & Regulatory Reporting Change
- Regulatory & Statutory reporting
The Capital & Regulatory Reporting Crew are responsible for:
1. Providing accurate enriched data to downstream users;
2. Providing capital and reporting guidance; and
3. Overseeing the delivery of all capital and reporting changes. This includes ensuring that capital and regulatory reporting is correctly updated to reflect any new product offerings, all upstream system upgrades and enhancements are catered for, updated risk modelling outcomes are reflected; and building out enhancements to internal reporting.
The outputs of the Crew flow into the annual report, investor relations presentations and Pillar 3 documents as well as a large number of regulatory reports submitted to APRA. The data that is generated by the Crews is used across multiple stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Business.

This role will report directly to the Crew Lead of the Capital & Regulatory Reporting Crew.
- Define the Squad’s vision, goals and roadmap, aligned with the Crew’s objectives and purpose;
- Build and prioritise the Squad’s backlog on a fortnightly, quarterly, and annual basis, balancing trade-offs and exploring strategies to successfully deliver on business and capital outcomes;
- Working with our technology partners and project managers to ensure seamless delivery of the capital backlog;
- Identify risks, dependencies and blockers for the squad;
- Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations;
- Working with the chapter leads to ensure optimal allocation of work to your squad members as well as coordinating dependencies across squads;
- Ensure adherence to delivery frameworks and guardrails and compliance across customer propositions. This includes adhering to architectural guardrails, ensuring changes are aligned to internal policy and maintain compliance with the APRA capital framework;
- Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR (Objective and Key Result) tracking etc;
We’re interested in hearing from people who possess.
- 3 years minimum of demonstrated risk/finance/capital knowledge, understanding of the regulatory standards and delivery experience;
- Capable of translating a product vision to a roadmap and backlog;
- Deep understanding of capital and broad understanding of business and technology, particularly in the finance and risk domains;
- Previous experience in working in a matrix structure, demonstrating the ability to balance product ownership with delivery capacity and priorities;
- Problem-solving, decision-making and prioritisation skills, with the ability to quickly prioritise across multiple tasks;
- Ability to influence to deliver outcomes across multiple different teams/squads and the confidence to have challenging conversations with stakeholders;
- Previous experience in working in Agile, using Jira and/or Confluence;
- Experience / exposure using SQL, Ab Initio or equivalent data software is preferable;
- A certificate in project manager, product ownership or scrum mastering
