As a Business Development Manager in Energy360, you will be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution and will be responsible for generating high value sales outcomes for biogas and biomethane solutions for Energy360 customers to decarbonise their energy needs behind the meter.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of the agricultural, wastewater treatment and landfill gas sectors by owning all stages of the sales funnel, building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and ultimately delivering quality sales to exceed targets. Working closely with various internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for securing high value deals by driving and managing the financial and technical solution development, proposal development and customer interface of the sales process.  We're changing the planet for the better, one project at a time!

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing a detailed understanding of customer needs to articulate the value proposition and profitable technical and commercial solutions as well as present proposals of a high standard in accordance with business rules.

• Developing and actively managing a pipeline of business sales opportunities to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets in terms of revenue and gross margin. 

• Effectively tracking and communicating with management the status of sales opportunities and client activity leveraging CRM tools and other regular reporting. 

• Working with Legal and Top-Level staff as required to refine contract terms and conditions on a deal-by-deal basis. 

• Keeping abreast of industry developments and identifying new opportunities and threats which may arise over time. 

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in solution selling with deal values in excess of $1,000,000 per transaction in similar sales roles, ideally within the energy sector or other large B2B solutions-oriented organization

• Demonstrated experience in solution selling in a sales role, as well as an understanding of the energy market and energy solution space especially in flares, biogas delivery systems, boilers and energy efficiency.

• A hunter mentality with demonstrated success in developing and executing sales plans and record of achieving sales quotas in a B2B environment.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations for clients, and experience working with CRM solutions to report and track pipeline progress.

• Excellent professional communication skills with Senior Executives of commercial or industrial companies, coupled with strong writing skills, and immediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills.

• Self-motivated, achievement oriented, well disciplined, task focused with a strong sense of timeliness.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Software Engineer with a strong proficiency in building modern C# .NET Core/.NET 8 (5+ years) web applications, including front-end skills (Razor, VueJs), using cloud services (Amazon), is self-directed, an effective communicator, and takes ownership and responsibility for their work to ensure successful business and client outcomes. You will contribute to developing the GXE SaaS platform and supporting infrastructure by writing new features, gathering requirements, fixing bugs and contributing to the technical roadmap. • Execute Software Development responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable software solutions that meet the requirements of stakeholders. This includes understanding user needs, architecting software systems, writing code, and implementing features to a high-quality standard.
• Test your code to ensure that it functions correctly and meets quality standards.  This includes writing unit tests, integration testing, thorough reviews, and debugging issues that arise during the development process and in production.

What success looks like

In the first week, you can meet the wider team, dive into our technical stack, and ship changes to production.

In the first month…

You will immerse yourself in understanding GXE's vision, strategy, platform, and client base, alongside getting acquainted with the team. You will delve into the technical stack, development environment, and platform documentation to grasp the technical aspects fully. You'll become familiar with the technical stack by contributing changes to various parts of the platform. Participating in code reviews will help you understand the team's coding standards, best practices, and architectural approach. You'll also gain insights into current projects and priorities by attending meetings, reviewing documentation, and shadowing team members. Additionally, you will meet with your manager to establish short-term and long-term goals aligning with the team's objectives and GXE's overarching priorities.

In the first three months…

You will escalate your involvement by taking charge of small to medium-sized features or projects, engaging in every phase from product definition and design to implementation, deployment, and documentation. You'll showcase your leadership by presenting these projects to the team. Collaboration with stakeholders and clients will be key to gathering requirements and ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals. You'll actively participate in GXE's quarterly planning, contributing to the documentation process through various means, such as writing tickets, updating technical documentation, and preparing design documents. Additionally, you'll seek and incorporate feedback from peers, managers, and stakeholders to identify and act on areas for improvement, furthering your professional development.

In the following months…

You will progress to owning medium to large features and projects, overseeing the entire process from requirements gathering to successful delivery. This period will also see you contributing to the long-term technical roadmap, highlighting your growing influence on the strategic development direction. You'll have opportunities to engage with the entire technical stack, which includes making development improvements and enhancing production infrastructure. This broadened scope of work will allow you to impact the organisation's immediate and future technical landscape significantly.

At the moment, as an Applications Packager you will be focused on:

• Software packaging and repackaging. This will cover from discovery through to deployment support
• Package based on BAU tickets as well as project

What you’ll bring

You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar Application Packaging role. You will have exceptional knowledge of packaging tools, InstallShield, PACE etc. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11 and MacOS operating systems. You will have knowledgeable skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE and Jamf.

You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.
